Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan resolusi konflik siswa yang ditandai dengan banyaknya konflik yang terjadi dalam dunia pelajar. Konflik yang paling sering terjadi adalah bullying baik secara verbal ataupun non-verbal. Konflik bullying ini menjadi masalah yang seolah olah diacuhkan oleh guru. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan keterampilan resolusi konflik dari setiap siswa agar kasus bullying tersebut bisa diredam dan dituntaskan. Berdasarkan observasi awal di kelas VIII-E SMP Negeri 7 Bandung, keterampilan resolusi konflik yang ada dalam diri siswa masih kurang dan perlu ditingkatkan. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari observasi awal dilapangan bahwa adanya perilaku bullying siswa yang saling mengejek, menyoraki, dan mengucilkan sehingga bisa dikatakan keterampilan resolusi konflik siswa di kelas VIII-E ini perlu ditingkatkan. Melihat fenomena tersebut, perlu disusun model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan resolusi konflik siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menerapkan metode role playing dalam pembelajaran IPS. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterampilan resolusi konflik siswa, role playing dan catatan lapangan. Untuk pengumpulan data digunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan dalam proses pengolahan data dan analisis data menggunakan kualitaif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil akhir dari penelitian mulai siklus 1 sampai siklus 3 yang telah dilaksanakan sebanyak 12 pertemuan dengan menerapkan metode role playing ini, nampak peningkatan keterampilan resolusi konflik siswa mengenai perilaku bullying yang ditunjukan dengan indikator siswa dapat memberi applause terhadap penampilan siswa lain, memperhatikan teman yang sedang tampil, memanggil nama teman dengan benar, tidak memilih-milih teman saat berkelompok, dan tidak mengejek teman.;--- This research is motivated by the lack of students’ conflict resolution skill that is marked by numerous conflicts which happen in students. The most common conflict is bullying whether it is verbal and non-verbal. The conflict of bullying becomes an issue that seems ignored by teachers. Therefore, a conflict resolution skill is needed from each student in order the case of bullying can be mitigated and resolved. According to preliminary observation in class of VIII-E Junior High School 7 Bandung, conflict resolution skill which is in students is still lacking and needs to be improved. This can be seen from the preliminary observation that there is students’ bullying who taunt each other, yell out, and excommunicate, thereby it can be regarded that students’ conflict resolution skill in VIII-E class needs to be improved. Observing this phenomenon, it is necessary to arrange model of learning that can improve students’ conflict resolution skill. The approach used of this research is classroom action research by applying role-playing method in teaching of social studies. The instruments used are observation sheet of students’ conflict resolution skill, role-playing, and field notes. The data collections use observation, interview, and documentation study, while the data processing and data analysis use qualitative and quantitative. Based on the final result from the first cycle till the third cycle that has been carried out 12 meetings by applying role-playing method, it is visible to increase students’ conflict resolution skill of bullying behavior which is shown by indicators that students can give applause to other students’ performance, they pay attention to friends who are performing, they call friends’ name properly, they are not picky to choose friends when making a group, and they do not mock each other.
