Abstract
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) mengenai penerapan model cooperative learning tipe STADuntuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pengukuran berat siswa kelas 2. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Sukajadi 3 yang berada di daerah Kota Bandung. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SD kelas 2 yang berjumlah 23 orang siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe STAD pada pembelajaran pengukuran berat siswa kelas 2 (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran pengukuran berat siswa kelas 2 dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe STAD. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi pengukuran berat, siswa belum mampu membandingkan berat, mengubah satuan ukur berat, dan diperkuat dengan perhitungan data awal nilai rata-rata siswa yaitu 58,5 dari keseluruhan 23 orang siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis Mc. Taggart dengan pelaksanaan dua siklus penelitian. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe STAD, presentase ketuntasan siswa pada siklus I mencapai 73,91% dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 17 orang dari data awal presentase ketuntasan 17,39% dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 4 orang siswa, nilai presentase ketuntasan siswa meningkat pada siklus II mencapai 100% , siklus II semua siswa mencapai nilai KKM dengan rata-rata nilai 89,1 Dari hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pengukuran berat siswa kelas 2;--- This study is a classroom action research on the application of cooperative learning model of STAD type to improve the outcomes of weight measurement learning of the second grade students. This study was conducted at SDN Sukajadi 3 which is located in Bandung. The subjects involved in the study are 23 students of the second grade. This study aims at (1) identifying the application of cooperative learning model of STAD type to improve the outcomes of weight measurement learning of the second grade students and (2) identifying the improvement of the learning outcomes in the measurement learning of the second grade students by applying cooperative learning model of STAD type. This study was motivated by the poor leaning outcomes of the students at weight measurement class in which the students are still unable to compare different weights, and change unit of weight measurement. The study was also motivated by the early calculation of students average score of the class which is 58.5 from 23 students. Based on the problems mentioned previously, therefore a classroom action research was conducted by using Kemmis Mc. Taggart’s model with two cycles of study. The result of the study shows the indication of improvement in students’ learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning model of STAD type. The presentation of students’ learning completeness in the first cycle is 73.91%, with the overall students who completed the class expectation are 17 students, as opposed to the early data that shows only 17.39% or 4 students who were able to complete the expected scores, while in the cycle two the presentation reached 100%. In the second cycle, all students reached the expected scores with the average score is 89.1. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model of STAD type is able to improve the outcomes of weight measurement learning of the second grade students.
