Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang berjudul ” Penerapan Metode Eksperimen dalam Pembelajaran IPA untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa”. PTK ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar siswa malalui penerapan metode eksperimen. Subyek yang dikenai tindakan yaitu siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 28 siswa pada tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 di SDN Cikarang Kecamatan Cidolog Kabupaten Sukabumi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi kemudian dibuat perencanaan perbaikan yang digunakan dalam siklus selanjutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar evaluasi akhir siklus, lembar observasi proses pembelajaran dan catatan lapangan. Tes digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pembelajaran, lembar observasi proses pembelajaran digunakan untuk mengobservasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa sedangkan catatan lapangan digunakan untuk mencatat temuan-temuan penting selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya perkembangan proses pembelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen dari siklus 1 ke siklus II pada setiap tahap metode eksperimen yang terdiri dari tahap Pra-Eksperimen, Eksperimen, dan Pasca-Eksperimen. Hal ini mengakibatkan terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus 1 ke siklus II. Data menunjukan bahwa pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus I, rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mencapai 51,00 dengan kriteria rendah dengan 14,29% siswa di atas KKM (65,00) dan pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang cukup tinggi dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 71,00 dengan kriteria sedang dengan 71,43% siswa di atas KKM.. Adapun rekomendasi bagi guru ketika menerapkan metode eksperimen adalah (1) Pada tahap Pra-Ekesperimen, guru harus menjelaskan terlebih dahulu materi prasyarat, alat-alat peraga dan langkah-langkah percobaan yang harus dilakukan siswa pada LKS; (2) Pada tahap pelaksanaan Eksperimen, guru harus mengondisikan siswa untuk melakukan percobaan secara berkelompok dan bersamaan sesuai dengan waktu yang telah ditentukan, sehingga pemahaman yang terbangun oleh siswa berasal dari pemahaman kelompok yang dituliskan pada LKS kelompok.; dan (3) Pada tahap Pasca-Eksperimen, guru harus mengondisikan siswa secara kelompok untuk memaparkan proses dan hasil ;--- This research is a class act, entitled "Application of Experimental Methods in Learning Science to Improve Learning Outcomes". PTK aims to improve processes and student learning outcomes malalui application of the experimental method. The subjects were subjected to that fifth grade students totaling 28 students in the academic year 2015/2016 in Cikarang SDN Cidolog District of Sukabumi. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) from the planning, implementation, observation and reflection then made planning improvements used in the next cycle. This study was conducted by two cycles. The data collection instruments in the form of an evaluation sheet end of the cycle, the learning process observation sheets and field notes. The test is used to determine student learning outcomes after the implementation of the action learning, observation sheets used to observe the learning process keterlaksanaan learning undertaken by teachers and students while notes field is used to record the key findings during the learning takes place. The results showed the developmental process of learning science by applying the experimental method of cycle 1 to cycle II at every stage of the experimental method comprising the step of pre-Experiment, Experiment, and Post-Experiment. This resulted in the improvement of student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle II. Data shows that in the act of learning the first cycle, the average student learning outcomes reached 51.00 with low criteria with 14.29% of students above the KKM (65.00) and the action learning cycle II increased high enough to gain value an average of 71.00 with the criteria being with 71.43% of students above the KKM .. the recommendation for teachers when applying the experimental method is (1) at the stage of pre-Ekesperimen, teachers must first explain the material prerequisites, teaching aids and measures students' experiments should be done on a worksheet; (2) During the implementation phase experiment, teachers should condition students to conduct experiments in groups and simultaneously in accordance with a predetermined time, so understanding awakened by a student group comes from an understanding that is written on the LKS group .; and (3) At the stage of post-experiment, teachers should condition students in groups to describe the process and results of his experiments in turns for each group represented by the members of each group the most controlled trials have been conducted.
