Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa di kelas V Sekolah Dasar, hal itu ditandai dengan banyaknya siswa yang nilai rata-ratanya dibawah KKM yang telah ditentukan di sekolah. Pembelajaran secara konvensional menjadi salah satu faktor rendahnya hasil belajar siswa sehingga membuat pembelajaran menjadi membosankan. Sehubungan dengan permasalahan di atas, maka pemilihan penerapan metode ekpserimen untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa tentang sifat-sifat cahaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah proses pembelajaran dan hasil penerapan metode eksperimen. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) desain Kemmis dan Taggart. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SDN di Kota Bandung dengan jumlah siswa yang diteliti berjumlah 14 siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar Tahun Pelajaran 2015/ 2016. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan proses pembelajaran berlangsung dalam dua siklus dengan dua kali pertemuan. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus pertama kurang memuaskan yaitu dengan perolehan persentase sebesar 64,28% dan nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 65,37 sedangkan untuk siklus ke II mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan perolehan persentase sebesar 85,71% dan nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 79,64. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas ada beberapa rekomendasi yang ingin disampaikan antara lain: Sebaiknya mengimplementasikan metode eksperimen dalam pembelajaran pada materi lain dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik siswa serta mempersiapkan tahapan-tahapan dalam eksperimen harus di perjelas dalam setiap langkah percobaan. --- This research is motivated by lower results for students at Elementary School fifth grade, it was marked with the number of students that the average value below a predetermined KKM in school. Conventional learning to be one of the causes of low student learning outcomes that make learning becomes boring. In connection with the above problems, the election ekpserimen application of the method to improve student learning outcomes on the properties of light. The purpose of this study was to determine how the learning process and the results of the application of the experimental method. This research method is the Classroom Action Research Kemmis design and Taggart. Collecting data using the techniques of interview, observation and documentation of sites for this research was conducted in one primary school in the city of Bandung with the number of students who studied amounted to 14 students. Subjects in this study were elementary school fifth grade students in the academic year 2015/ 2016. The results of this study concluded the learning process takes place in two cycles with two meetings. The results of students in the first cycle is less satisfying, with the acquisition of a percentage of 64.28% and the average value grade of 65.37 while for the cycle II has risen with the acquisition of a percentage of 85.71% and the average value of the class 79.64. Based on the above results there are several recommendations to be conveyed among others: We recommend implementing the experimental method of learning in other materials taking into account the characteristics of students and preparing stages in the experiment must be clear in every step of the experiment.
