Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita dan motivasi belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan masalah kontekstual matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain yang digunakan adalah ‘nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN 2 Manisloor dan siswa kelas V SDN 2 Maniskidul. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita dan angket skala serta lembar observasi untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan temuan di lapangan, diperoleh skor N-Gain kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita untuk kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan skor N-Gain kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita kelas kontrol. Selain itu, motivasi belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan masalah kontekstual matematika juga cukup tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan masalah kontekstual matematika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita dan motivasi belajar siswa. ;--- This research aims to analyse the enhancement of word problem solving instruction and motivation to study of student as a result of the implementation of learning that is using contextual problem of mathematic. This research method is quasi-experiment, which uses non-equivalent control group design for data collecting. Population in this study was all student of fifth grade at Elementary School Maniskidul 2 and Manisloor 2, Kuningan. Furthermore, the research sought to collect data mathematical word problem solving based on instrument which was designed using test and likert’scal attitude, also observation was used to analyse student’s motivation. Based on the findings in the class, score was obtained n-gain the mathematical word problem solving of experiment class is better than with a score n-gain mathematical word problem solving of control class. In addition, the motivation to study students who obtain lessons learned with using contextual problem of mathematics are also high enough. So, it can be concluded that with using it contextual problem of mathematics can be improve the word problem solving and the motivation to study students .
