Abstract

Pembelajaran Ceramah yang pada umumnya digunakan oleh guru cenderung menekankan pada pola kerja otak kiri saja, sedangkan pembelajaran yang baik adalah pembelajaran yang mengoptimalkan fungsi otak kiri dan kanan. Peneliti menemukan bahwa di SMKN 2 Tasikmalaya Mata Pelajaran Gambar Interior dan Eksterior Bangunan Gedung proses pembelajarannya masih menggunakan pembelajaran ceramah. Hal ini membuat siswa cenderung pasif karena ketika guru menerangkan, sedangkan siswa hanya mendengarkan, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajarnya. Terbukti ketika Ujian Tengah semester berlangsung sebagian besar siswa nilainya dibawah kriteria ketuntasan minimum (KKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning, mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan pembelajaran Ceramah, mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar pembelajaran Brain Based Learning dengan pembelajaran Ceramah, mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran Brain Based Learning. Dengan metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan model quasi exprimental dan pendekatan nonequivalent control group design sehingga penelitian hanya terfokus pada faktor internal, dengan pendekatan melaui pre-test dan post-test, pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan pembelajaran Brain Based Learning dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran Ceramah yang biasa digunakan guru. Setelah diterapkannya pembelajaran Brain Based Learning pada mata pelajaran Gambar Interior dan Eksterior Bangunan Gedung terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dengan hasil pada kelas kontrol. Peningkatan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol.;---Learning Lectures which generally used by teachers is tend to emphasize the working pattern of the left brain, but learning is good when that learning optimize the function of the left and right brain. Researchers found that in SMKN 2 Tasikmalaya in subjects the Draw the Interior and Exterior Building, the learning process is still using lectures. This makes students become more passive because when the teacher explains, students just listen, so that effect on the study results. Is proved by the Central Examination half lasted most students value is less than the minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this research is to determine student learning outcomes by using model brain based learning, knowing the learning outcomes of students with lecture learning, determine differences in learning outcomes by brain based learning with lecture learning, knowing achievement learning brain based learning. The method used in this research is quantitative experiments with a model quasi exprimental and approaches nonequivalent control group design so that the study focused only on internal factors, with an approach through pre-test and post-test, the experimental class that uses the learning brain based learning and control class that uses the lectures learning which commonly used by teachers. After the implementation of learning brain based learning on the subjects Draw the Interior and Exterior Building there are significant differences between the experimental class learning results with the results of the control class. Improved learning outcomes experimental class is better than the control class.
