Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari hasil identifikasi terhadap lembaga pelatihan komputer untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya instruktur komputer dalam meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik sehingga program pelatihan bisa bertahan sampai seratus lebih angkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1)mengetahui proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik, 2) mengetahui upaya instruktur dalam meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik, 3) mengetahui faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat yang dihadapi oleh instruktur. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: konsep instruktur, konsep pelatihan, konsep belajar, dan konsep manajemen PLS. Metode yang digunakan dalam dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak lima orang. Adapun trknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan triangulasi data. Beberapa temuan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini antara lain: 1) pproses pembelajaran kursus dan pelatihan di LKP LPKII sudah sesuai dengan prinsip dasar pengelolaan seperti perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut terhadap program pelatihan serta peserta sehingga program pelatihan masih bertahan sampai dengan sekarang, 2) instrukutur sudah berupaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dimana instrutur sudah menjalankan atau peranan instruktur sebagai perencana pembelajaran, pengajar, motivator, fasilitator, pembimbing, dan evaluator. Sehingga ada peningkatan kemampuan pada pehasil peserta, 3) faktor pendukung dalam kegiatan pelatihan program studi terpadu di LKP LPKII yaitu sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung proses pembelajaran, materi yang didapatkan peserta mermacam-macam, materi yang diberikan setara dengan strata D3/S1 secara komputer bisa bersaing namun disamping itu ada pula faktor penghambatnya yaitu belumada sistem pengorganisasian tindak lanjut seperti pendampingan atau magang dan daya saing dengan perguruan tinggi karena materi yang diberikan setara dengan materi strata D3/S1 sehingga beberapa sasaran lebih memilih untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan pihak lembaga untuk dapat memperbaiki pengelolaan program pelatihan terutama pada instruktur dengan menentukan kualifikasi yang sesuai dengan program peltihan serta untuk proses tindak lanjut sebaiknya diadakan pross pendampingan atau magang untuk mengetahui sejauh mana daya serap peserta terhadap materi yang telah diberikan oleh instruktur apakah mereka dapat bersaing di dunia usaha dan sunia industry atau tidak.;---This research begins with the identification of the computer training institutes to find out how the efforts of computer instructor in improving the ability of the learners in order to the training program can stand up to a hundred or more generation. The purposes of this research are 1) To know the process of learning that carried out to improve the ability of learners. 2) To understand the instructor attempt in improving the ability of learners. 3) To find out the proponent factors and the obstacle factors faced by the instructor. The approachs that used in this research were instructor concept, training concept, the concept of learning, and the management of Non Formal Education . This research used descriptive as a method with qualitative approach, the subject consist of five sample.The technique of collecting the data of this research were interview, observation, documentation study, and triangulation data. Some of the findings that obtained from this research are: 1) The process of course and training in LKP LPKII are accordance with the basic principles of the management such as planning, implementation, evaluation and the follow up of the training programs also the learners in order to training programs still survive until now. 2) Insructur has attempted to improve the ability of learners where the instructur already running or play a role as a learners planer, uducator, motivator, facilitator, mentor and evaluator. Thus there is an increased ability of the learners. 3) Proponent factors in the integrated courses in LKP LPKII those are facilities and infrastructure that support the process of learning. The material that obtained by learners assortment, the materials that given equivalent with Diploma or Undergraduated Degree in computer they can compete. But beside that there are also the obstacle factor that is there is no system yet of the follow up organizing such as mentoring or apprenticeship and can compete with the universities because the materials that they get similar with the materials of Diploma or Undergraduate Degree, in order to some targets would prefer to go to college. The results of this research suggest the institution be able to improve the management of training programs, especially for the instructor to determine the appropriate qualifications training program as well as for the follow up process should be organized the the process of mentoring or apprenticeship to determine the extent of absorption of the the learners of the materials that has been given by the instructor, whether they can compete in business world and the world of industry or not.
