Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang peneliti temukan di kelas VII-B SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung. Kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS sangat kurang, terlihat ketika dilaksanakan proses pembelajaran, peserta didik tidak memiliki sikap empati, prososial, kesadaran diri, etika sosial, pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi efektif. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana guru merencanakan, melaksanakan dan bagaimana perkembangan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik serta bagaimana kendala dan solusi yang peneliti hadapi selama melaksanakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair and share. Tujuan utama dari penelitian adalah mengembangkan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain Kemmis dan Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, hasilnya menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair and share dapat mengembangkan kecerdasan interpersonal peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas VII-B SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung. Hal ini terlihat dari setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair and share dapat mengembangkan kecerdasan interpersonal (interpersonal intelligence) peserta didik kelas VII-B SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung. ; This research is aimed to develop the interpersonal intelligence of students in learning social studies. The present research is conducted based on the result of the early observation in which the researcher finds out in class VII-B, Pasundan 2 Junior High School, Bandung. It is found that the students are lack of interpersonal intelligence which is shown thorugh the learning process, and signaled by lack of empathy, pro-social, self-awareness, social ethics, problem-solving and effective communication. The research question of this research is how the teacher plans, implements and how the interpersonal intelligence develops on the students and also how constraint and solution the cooperative model of learning process type think pair and share. The main purpose of the research is to develop the interpersonal intelligence of the students in learning social studies. In conducting this research, the researcher adopts “Penelitian Tindakan Kelas” (PTK) method with Kemmis and Taggart design while the observation and interview technique is applied to collect the data. Based on the research which has been conducted, it reveals that the implementation of cooperative model type think pair and share is able to develop the interpersonal intelligence of the students of Pasundan 2 Junior High School Bandung class VII-B in learning social studies. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative model type think pair and share in the learning process can succesfully develop the interpersonal intelligence of the students of Pasundan 2 Bandung Junior High School class VII-B.
