Abstract

Melatih siswa untuk peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran IPS perlu dilakukan oleh guru melalui inovasi sumber pembelajaran yang tidak hanya bersumber dari buku, namun juga dari sumber lain yang bersifat kontekstual seperti lingkungan, tokoh manusia, hasil kebudayaan, dan sebagainya. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mencoba memanfaatkan Situs Banten Lama sebagai sumber pembelajaran IPS dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Rumusan masalah penelitian adalah: 1) Bagaimana guru merencanakan dan merancang persiapan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan Situs Banten Lama dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa?; 2) Bagaimana penerapan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan Situs Banten Lama dalam proses pembelajaran IPS di kelas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis?; 3) Bagaimana hasil-hasil pembelajaran IPS dengan memanfaatkan Situs Banten Lama terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa?; 4) Apa kendala dan solusi dalam menerapkan pemanfaatan Situs Banten Lama terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa?. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang dilakukan di kelas VII-b SMPN 2 Kota Serang Provinsi Banten. Hasil penelitian dengan memanfaatkan Situs Banten Lama sebagai sumber pembelajaran IPS menunjukkan hasil yang efektif, yakni terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dari siklus pertama dengan kategori perolehan hasil “cukup”, meningkat pada siklus kedua dengan perolehan hasil “baik”.; Practising how to increas the critical thinking skill in social science to the students is supposed tobe applied by the teacher by using some innovation on learning sources,not only determined or focus on text book. It is flexible in which teacher applied some contextual aprroach such as environment, human being, culture etc. Thus,the reasearcher tried to use Banten Lama site as learning sources for social science as effort to increasing students critical thinking skill. Problems that would be collaborated; 1. How does the teacher arrange and plan the preparation on teaching and learning by using old banten site for social science to increase students critical thinking skill. 2. How does the teacher apply in learning procces towards the using of old banten site as effort to increase students critical thinking skill. 3. How is the result of the application of using old banten site for social science in increasing students critical thinking skill. 4. What are the obstacles and solution that would be faced in applying old banten site towards the students critical thinking skill. The approachment applied on this qualitative research is classroom action reasearch that involving students of vii grade class b at SMPN 2 serang banten The result of this reasearch showed that there will be effective in which the use of old banten site gives some effects on rising the students critical thinking skill. It couldbe seen from the first cycle they got "enough", the best result on the second cycle that showed "good".
