Abstract

Motivasi siswa SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga berbeda antara setiap individu. Ada tujuh motivasi kebutuhan yang dijelaskan oleh Abraham Maslow. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan jumlah 71 siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga. Hasil penelitian motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga menunjukan kebutuhan fisiologis 80,11% dengan kategori baik, kebutuhan rasa aman 84,75% dengan kategori sangat baik, kebutuhan rasa cinta dan saling memiliki 73,68% dengan kategori baik, kebutuhan harga diri 74,08% dengan kategori baik, kebutuhan kognitif 83,62% dengan kategori sangat baik, kebutuhan estetis 81,87% dengan kategori sangat baik, kebutuhan aktualisasi diri dan realisasi diri 87,64% dengan kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah, dari tujuh kebutuhan yang ada, kebutuhan aktualisasi diri dan realisasi diri, memiliki persentase tertinggi, yaitu 87,64%. Sedangkan kebutuhan rasa cinta dan saling memiliki, memiliki persentase terendah, yaitu 73,68%. Siswa SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung memiliki penilaian yang positif terhadap kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga berdasarkan hasil keseluruhan dari tujuh kebutuhan dengan persentase 80,69% yang berada pada kategori baik.;The students at SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung have different motivations in participating in a sport extracurricular activity. There are seven need motivations from Abraham Maslow. This research uses descriptive method. The population which is researched is the students from SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. The sample is chosen by total campling technic with total students of 71 students who take a sport extracurricular activity. The research shows that the student’s motivation in participating in such activity are varies; the result shows that 80.11% is because the need of physiological with good category; while the need of safe feeling is at 84.75% with very good category; the need of passion is at 73.68% with good category; the need of proud is at 74.08% with good category; the need of cognitive is at 83.62% with good category; the esthetic need is at 81.87% with very good category; and the need to self-actualizing and self-realizing is at 87.64% with very good category. The result shows that from seven need motivations, the need to self-actualizing and self-realizing is the most motivation with 87.64%, while the need of passion has the lowest percentage with 73.68%. The students in this school have a good appraisal to sport extracurricular activity based from the overall seven need motivation with 80.69% which is in good category.
