Abstract
Skripsi berjudul “Tari Jaipong Acappella karya Gondo di Klinik Jaipong Gondo Art Production”. Tarian ini termasuk tarian bergenre kreasi baru yang dapat disajikan secara rampak maupun tunggal. Pada tarian ini terdapat keunikan jika dibandingkan dengan tarian lain, yaitu terdapat pada musiknya yang menggunakan suara mulut dengan mengimitasi suara-suara kendang, saron, rincik, dan instrumen musik lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai tari Jaipong Acappella melalui analisis mengenai latar belakang tari Jaipong Acappella, struktur dasar komposisi tari Jaipong Acappella, dan proses terciptanya tari Jaipong Acappella. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dianalisis bahwa tari Jaipong Acappella merupakan hasil kreativitas seorang Gondo sebagai seniman Jawa Barat yang ingin terus melestarikan seni tradisi khususnya seni tari agar tetap eksis dan tidak tertelan oleh zaman dengan karyanya yang inovatif, menggunakan pengiring musik yang dihasilkan melalui mulut dengan mengimitasi suara gamelan pada umumnya.; This research study is entitled “Gondo’s Jaipong Acapella dance in Jaipong Clinic Gondo Art Production”. The Jaipong Acapella dance is a new creation genre of dance which could be served in group or single. There is a uniqueness in Jaipong Acapella dance. If it is compared to another dance, the music of this dance used mouth sound by imitating the sound of kendang, saron, rincik, and another music instrument. The aim of this study is to obtain a knowledge about Jaipong Acapella dance through the analysis of the background of Jaipong Acapella, the basic structure of the Jaipong Acapella dance composition, and the creation process of Jaipong Acappella dance. The method that is used in this study is descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach. The data were collected by using observation technic, interview, literature review, and documentation study. The findings show that Jaipong Acapella dance is a creativity of Gondo as an artist in West Java that always wants to preserve the traditional art, especially dance art to still exist and not swallowed by age through his innovative creation, by using a music which is produced through mouth by imitating the sound of gamelan in general.
