Abstract

Siswa tunagrahita yang telah menyelesaikan pendidikan di sekolah kembali lagi ke rumah tanpa memiliki keterampilan khusus yang bisa menjadikan mereka mandiri dalam bidang pekerjaan contohnya keterampilan menjahit dan menyulam. Berdasarkan hal tersebut Kemampuan menjahit masih banyak diperlukan oleh masyarakat maka program seperti keterampilan menjahit haruslah diprogramkan secara rinci agar siswa tunagrahita ringan mendapatkan keterampilan yang baik, selain itu setelah lulus sekolah siswa tunagrahita mampu menghasilkan uang sendiri melalui keterampilan menjahit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menjahit. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendeketan kualitatif, Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian guru keterampilan vokasional dan dua siswa tunagrahita ringan. Hasil penelitian ini menjawab lima pertanyaan penelitian yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menjahit rok guru tidak membuat silabus dan RPP, pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan menjahit rok dimulai setelah pembelajaran akademik, evaluasi pembelajaran keterampilan menjahit rok ketika proses pelaksanaan dimulai dari menyebutkan bahan dan alat menjahit serta tahapan-tahapan menjahit, hambatan yang dialami dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menjahit rok ketika siswa mengalami kejenuhan karena pembelajaran menjahit pada waktu siang hari, upaya dalam mengatasi pembelajaran keterampilan menjahit rok, guru membimbing dan memotivasi satu persatu siswa. Dengan adanya program keterampilan menjahit rok siswa tunagrahita ringan dapat mengoptimalkan potensi keterampilan menjahit rok dan meningkatkan kemandirian serta menghasilkan uang sendiri. ;Graduated students with mental retardation are faced with skill problems such as sewing and crochet. As the matter of fact, sewing is considered as one of the valuable skills needed in society. Thus, a sewing program should be programed in detail so that students with mild mental retardation can obtain a better skill. Besides, through sewing skill, students with mild mental retardation are expected earn money. This study aims at exploring the planning and execution of sewing skill learning. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data are collected from interview, observation, and documentation study. The subjects of this study are a group of vocational teachers and two students with mild mental retardation. The results answer five research questions of this study, namely in the planning of skirt- sewing skill learning, the teachers do not make syllabus and lesson planning, the execution of skirt- sewing skill learning starts following the academic learning, the evaluation of skirt- sewing skill learning starts concurrently by the execution process; it starts from listing tools and materials to sew as well as the stages of sewing, mentioning some difficulties that the students face when they learn to sew- especially, when the students have the class in the noon, mentioning some efforts to overcome skirt- sewing skill learning, teachers supervise and motivate each student. The program is expected to be able to optimize the potential of skirt- sewing skill and improve the students’ independency so that they can earn money by themselves.
