Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu kunci utama dalam perkembangan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan maka sangat ditentukan oleh kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran. Kinerja guru tersebut akan berimplikasi terhadap peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Kinerja guru dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya kompetensi, motivasi dan komitmen dengan guru sebagai peran utamanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi, motivasi, komitmen, kinerja guru dan mutu pembelajaran di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta, (2) menganalisis secara kritis tentang pengaruh kompetensi, motivasi dan komitmen terhadap kinerja guru dan dampaknya terhadap mutu pembelajaran di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta dan (3) merekomendasikan suatu model hipotetik pengembangan kinerja guru Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah descriptive dan explanatory survey. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada responden yang terpilih sebagai sampel. Hasil pengumpulan data dengan sumber data primer diperoleh dari jumlah sampel sebanyak 161 responden. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Path Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta, (2) motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta, (3) komitmen guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta, (4) kompetensi, motivasi dan komitmen guru secara bersama-sama atau simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta dan (5) kinerja guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu pembelajaran di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta. Rekomendasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perlunya peningkatan kompetensi, motivasi, komitmen secara terencana dan berkelanjutan melalui berbagai pelatihan, bimbingan, dan berbagai fasilitas sumber belajar agar kinerja guru bisa optimal yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada mutu pembelajaran di Madrasah Aliyah Kotamadya Yogyakarta. Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Motivasi, Komitmen, Kinerja Guru, dan Mutu Pembelajaran. Education is one key element in the development of quality human resources. To improve the quality of education is determined by the performance of the teacher in the learning. The teacher’s performance will have implications for improving the quality of learning. Teacher performance is heavily influenced by several factors, including competence, motivation and commitment of the teacher as the lead character. The purpose of this research was (1) to describe the competence, motivation, commitment, teachers performance and quality learning in Madrasah Aliyah Yogyakarta Municipality, (2) to analyze critically about the influence of competence, motivation and commitment to teachers performance and its impact on the quality of learning in Madrasah Aliyah Yogyakarta Municipality and (3) recommend a hipotetic model of teacher’s performance. The research method used is descriptive and explanatory survey. Data were collected through by distributing questionnaires to the respondents who selected as sample. The results of the data collection of primary data sources obtained from the total sample of 161 respondents. The analysis method of analysis used in this research is Path Analysis. The results of this research indicated that: (1) competencies have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah Yogyakarta Municipality and (2) motivation are also has positive and significant effect on teachers performance in Madrasah Aliyah Yogyakarta Municipality. (3) the teachers' commitment have significant effect on the teachers performance in Madrasah Aliyah of Yogyakarta Municipality. (4) competency, motivation and commitment of teachers have simultaneously positive effect on teachers performance in the Madrasah Aliyah of Yogyakarta Municipality and (5) teacher performance have a positive and significant effect on quality of learning in the Madrasah Aliyah of Municipality Yogyakarta. Recommendations in this study is the need for increased competence, commitment and performance of teachers and the quality of learning through training, guidance and supervision of the Madrasah Aliyah of Yogyakarta.
