Abstract
Kadam Choeling Indonesia (KCI) merupakan sebuah organisasi sosial keagamaan, KCI dalam 15 tahun perjalanannya yang memiliki 10 cabang di seluruh Indonesia, yaitu Medan, Palembang, Tangerang, Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Depok, Yogyakarta, Malang, Surabaya, dan akan terus berkembang. Dalam menjalankan aktivitasnya baik internal maupun eksternal, KCI sangat peduli dengan perkembangan membernya. Oleh karena itu sangat dibutuhkan informasi-informasi kebutuhan member dan perawatan berkala kondisi para member khususnya. Pada sistem yang berjalan, KCI saat ini menggunakan Microsoft Excel untuk menyimpan data yang kompleks, sering terjadi redudansi dan belum terhubungkan antara satu sama lain serta belum ada pengontrolan perubahan atau penambahan basis data untuk memantau perubahan kebutuhan member. Dengan diterapkannya perancangan Aplikasi database organisasi menggunakan Microsoft Access 2013, diharapkan dapat mempermudah pihak Kadam Choeling Indonesia dalam mengelola seluruh pengarsipan data membership tanpa harus terjadi redudansi data dan kesalahan dalam mengelola data tersebut. Kata Kunci: Basis Data, Relasi, Membership, Normalisasi, Microsoft Access 2013 Kadam Choeling Indonesia (KCI) is a religious social organization , in this 15 years journey KCI has 10 branches throughout Indonesia, such as Medan, Palembang, Tangerang, Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Depok, Yogyakarta, Malang, Surabaya, and possibly to expand. In carrying out its activities both internally and externally, KCI is very concerned with the development of its members. Therefore, it is needed for the members’ information and regularly maintenance on condition of the members itself. For the recent archiving process, KCI currently uses Microsoft Excel to store the complex data. Data redundancy always happens and the database table is not connected from one to another. And there is no controlling to the database update in order to monitor the changing of members' needs. Implementation of the design of organization database using Microsoft Access 2013, is expected to facilitate Kadam Choeling Indonesia in managing all membership data archiving without having the data redundancy and error in managing in such data.
