Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pengetahuan serta minat baca masyarakat terhadap wawacan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisis, dan membahas tentang nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam Wawacan Juag Tati. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Sementara tehnik yang digunakan adalah tehnik studi pustaka. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah buku Wawacan Juag Tati. Hasil penelitian yang terdapat dalam Wawacan Juag Tati yaitu unsur struktur wawacan yang meliputi: 1) Tema; 2) Tokoh; 3) Alur; 4) Latar yang terdapat pada Wawacan Juag Tati, terbagi menjadi tiga bagian: (1) Latar tempat, (2) Latar waktu dan, (3) Latar sosial; 5) Judul buku Wawacan Juag Tati; 6) Sudut pandang pengarang; 7) Gaya basa; dan 8) Simbol. Pupuh yang digunakan dalam Wawacan Juag Tati seluruhnya ada 13 kanto dari 7 pupuh yang terdiri dari 214 pada. Selain itu, Hasil analisis nilai pendidikan karakter dilihat dari sikap dan perilaku yang dilakukan oleh tokoh, di antaranya: 1) Karakter religius terlihat dari kepercayaan dan keyakinan tokoh kepada Allah; 2) Karakter jujur terlihat dari usaha yang dilakukan tokoh untuk memperoleh kepercayaan orang lain; 3) Karakter toleransi terlihat dari sikap tokoh dalam menghargai pendapat orang lain;4) Karakter mandiri terlihat dari sikap dan perilaku tokoh yang tidak bergantung pada orang lain; 5) Karakter demokratis terlihat dari cara tokoh berpikir, bersikap, serta menilai bahwa manusia memiliki hak dan kewajiban yang sama; 6) Karakter rasa ingin tahu terlihat dari usaha yang dilakukan tokoh untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari sesuatu; 7) Karakter bersahabat atau komunikatif terlihat dari cara tokoh bergaul, berkomunikasi, dan bersosialisasi; 8) Karakter cinta damai terlihat dari usaha yang dilakukan tokoh, untuk hidup rukun dan bahagia; 9) Karakter gemar membaca terlihat dari kebiasaan dan kebutuhan tokoh dalam membaca; 10) Karakter peduli sosial terlihat dari sikap dan perilaku yang dilakukan tokoh dalam membantu orang lain; 11) Karakter tanggung jawab terlihat dari sikap dan perilaku tokoh dalam melaksanakan tanggung jawab serta kewajibannya. Kata kunci: Wawacan, struktur, etnopedagogik, ajen atikan. The background of this research is the lack of society’s knowledge and reading interest in Wawacan. The purposes of this research are to describe, to analyze, and to investigate the educational values in Wawacan Juag Tati. The method used in this research is analytical descriptive. The references used was the book of Wawacan Juag Tati. The result of the research which is gained from the book of Wawacan Juag Tati and the structure of this story which are: 1) The theme; 2) The character; 3) The plot; 4)The background; (1) Background, (2) Background of time, and (3) Social; 5) The title of the book is Wawacan Juag Tati; 6) Author’s point of view; 7) The style; and 8) The symbols. There are 13 kantos from five pupuh and 214 padas used in Wawacan Juag Tati. Beside, the results of educational character’s values analysis based on the character’s attitude, which are: 1) Religious value was found from the character’s faith to Allah; 2) Honest value was found from the character’s effort to gave the faith from the others; 3) Tolerance value was found from the character’s attitude and behavior to respect the others opinion; 4) Autonomous value was found from the character’s attitude and behavior who didn’t depended on the others; 5) Democratic value was found from the character’s intellection and the character’s attitude that the human have the same rights and obligations; 6) Curiosity value was found from the character’s effort to know and learn something; 7) Communicative/Humble value was found from the figures when they are communicated and socialization with the others; 8) Loving peace value was found from the character’s effort to get along with others and always be cheerful; 9) Interest in reading value was found from the character’s needs to reading; 10) Caring society value was found from the characters who loves to help others; 11) Responsible value was found from the character’s behavior in doing the responsibilities.
