Abstract

Kawasan Wisata Situ Ciburuy sebenarnya adalah kawasan yang cukup terkenal pada masa dahulu, saking terkenalnya seorang penyair membuat lagu tentang indahnya Situ Ciburuy. Namun karena Situ Ciburuy kurang diperhatikan perkembangannya, maka Situ Ciburuy kini tidak lagi seindah apa yang di ucapkan dalam bait lagu Situ Ciburuy tersebut. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan seperti apa yang sesuai dengan keadaan Situ Ciburuy saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dan analisis SWOT sebagai teknik analisis data. Strategi yang dihasilkan merupakan hasil persilangan antara SO, WO, ST, dan WT, setelah sebelumnya melakukan analisis External Factors Evaluation (EFE), Internal Factors Evaluation (IFE) dan positioning kuadran. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Situ Ciburuy berada pada kuadran II yang berarti bahwa atraksi wisata Situ Ciburuy sebenarnya lemah, namun memiliki peluang yang besar. Strategi yang sesuai adalah strategi turn around, yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kelemahan (weakness) dengan memanfaatkan peluang (Opportunity). Salah satu solusinya adalah pemerintah dapat bekerja sama dengan investor yang berminat mengembangkan Kawasan Wisata Situ Ciburuy untuk menambahkan atraksi wisata air yang bisa di terapkan di Situ Ciburuy. Kata Kunci : Atraksi Wisata Air, Kawasan Wisata Situ Ciburuy, Pengembangan Situ Ciburuy tourism area is actually a really well-known area in the past. Because of the popularity, a poet composed a song about the beauty of Situ Ciburuy. But due to lack of development of Situ Ciburuy, Situ Ciburuy it is now no longer as beautiful as what is sang in the couplet of the Situ Ciburuy song. Therefore, this research aimed to determine what kind of development strategy in accordance with the current state of the Situ Ciburuy. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach, and a SWOT analysis as data analysis techniques. The resulting strategy was cross result between SO, WO, ST and WT, after analyzing External Factors Evaluation (EFE), Internal Factors Evaluation (IFE) and positioning quadrant. The Results from this reserch indicated that Situ Ciburuy are in quadrant II, which means that the actual tourist attraction Situ Ciburuy is weak , but it has a great opportunity. The appropriate strategy is the turn around strategy, which aims to correct the weaknesses (weakness) to take advantage of opportunities (Opportunity). One of the solution is that the government can work together with investors who are interested in developing tourism area Situ Ciburuy to add water tourist attraction can applied in Situ Ciburuy.
