Abstract

Stres kerja memang hal yang perlu diperhatikan oleh perusahaan karena dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan dan kinerja para pekerja, untuk itu perlu diketahui hal-hal yang dapat mempengaruhi stres kerja diantaranya dalam penelitian ini adalah self efficacy dan dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) hubungan antara self efficacy dengan stres kerja pada designer clothing company di kota Bandung, (2) hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan stres kerja pada designer clothing company di kota Bandung, (3) hubungan antara self efficacy dan dukungan sosial dengan stres kerja pada designer clothing company di kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner yang telah dimodifikasi dan disusun oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori self efficacy dari Bandura (1997), teori dukungan sosial dari Sarafino (2012), dan teori stres kerja dari Robbins (2006). Responden pada penelitian ini yaitu designer yang bekerja di clothing company kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan bersama antara self efficacy dan dukungan sosial dengan stres kerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti merekomendasikan kepada clothing company di kota Bandung untuk lebih meningkatkan perhatian mengenai tuntutan-tuntutan kerja yang diberikan kepada para designer clothing company agar mereka tidak merasakan tuntuntan kerja yang berlebihan yang dapat menyebabkan stres kerja. Kepada peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan mencari variabel-variabel lain yang terkait dengan stres kerja agar memperkaya penelitian yang ada. Kata kunci:Self efficacy, dukungan sosial, stres kerja, designer clothing company. Companies need to pay more attention to job stress, because it is one of the reason which can affect health and work performance of employees. According to that, knowing all factors that can job stress are needed. This research emphasize and focus on self efficacy and social support. Objectives of this research are knowing correlation between (1) self efficacy and job stress to designer clothing company in Bandung, (2) social support and job stress to designer clothing company in Bandung, (3) self efficacy and social support with job stress to designer clothing company in Bandung. Quantitative approach with correlational design was used as the method in this research. All data were collected by distributed modification questionnaire created by researcher based on Bandura’s self efficacy theory (1997), Sarafino’s social support theory (2012), and Robbins’s job stress theory (2006). Respondents were designers who work at Clothing Company in Bandung, Result showed that there’s together correlation between self efficacy and social support with job stress. Based on the result, researcher recommend all clothing companies in Bandung to pay more attention about designer’s work demands, so that factors that make work so stressful or uncomfortableness of work can be minimized. To the next researcher, may could find another variables regarding to stress of work in order to enrich current research.
