Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya semangat kerja pegawai administrasi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.Hal tersebut ditandai dengan fluktuasi ketidakhadiran pegawai serta masih adanya pegawai yang kinerjanya dinilai belum maksimal yang disebabkan oleh kurang efektifnya pengembangan karir. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu pengembangan karir (X) dan semangat kerja pegawai (Y). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai efektivitas pengembangan karir, memperoleh gambaran mengenai tingkat semangat kerja pegawai, dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari pengembangan karir terhadap semangat kerja pegawai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksplanatory survey. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara penyebaran angket dengan model skala likert, yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi sederhana. Anggota sampel yaitu 163 pegawai administrasi gol. III di UPI Kampus Bumi Siliwangi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan informasi bahwa pengembangan karir dan semangat kerja pegawai berada pada kategori sedang. Selanjutnya, data yang diperoleh berpola linier. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa efektivitas pengembangan karir berpengaruh terhadap tingkat semangat kerja pegawai administrasi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia . Kata kunci: Pengembangan Karir, Semangat Kerja The problem that were examined in this research was the low morale of the administration employees in Indonesian University of Education. It is characterized by fluctuations employee absenteeism and there still employees whose performance is not maximum cause by less effective career development. This research consist of two variable there are career development (X) and morale of employees (Y).The aim of this research is to obtain an overview of the effectiveness of career development, obtain an overview of an employees’ morale level, and to see if there is an influence of career development on employees’ morale. Methods used in this research is an eksplanatory survey method. Technique of data collection is scattering the questionnaire with the scale likert , that are analyzed using simple regression. A member of the sample are 163 administration employees category III Indonesian University Of Education Bumi Siliwangi. Data analysis technique used is the simple linear regression. Based on the results of research, obtained information that career development and morale employees are at medium category. Furthermore, data that collected patterned linear. From the results of the hypothesis test it obtained that the effectiveness of career development have an influence on the level of morale administration employees in Indonesian University of Education.
