Abstract
Permasalahan yang diungkap adalah upaya guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan vokasional bagi anak tunagrahita ringan. Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang upaya guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan vokasional dalam memberikan layanan pendidikan bagi anak tunagrahita ringan di SLBNegeri Handayani. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah, PKS kurikulum, guru keterampilan, guru kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menjawab lima pertanyaan penelitian yaitu tentang perencanaanz pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional, proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional, evaluasi pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional, hambatan yang dihadapi guru ketika pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan upaya guru dalam mengatasi hambatan yaitu dengan memotivasi secara langsung kepada setiap peserta didik. Upaya dalam tindak lanjut pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional ini antara lain dengan membangun kepercayaan masyarakat agar dapat bekerja sama dan bakat peserta didik dapat tersalurkan dengan baik, pihak sekolah pun berusaha mengembalikan kepercayaan beberapa lembaga yang pernah bekerja sama dalam program tindak lanjut untuk pembelajaran keterampilan vokasional, dan mempromosikan hasil keterampilan vokasional melalui koperasi. Kata kunci:Guru, Keterampilan Vokasional, Anak Tunagrahita ringan The problems revealed by the effort of teachers in vocational skills for children to develop mild mental retardation. The purpose of this study aims to analyze about the teachers' efforts in developing vocational skills in providing educational services for children in SLB Negeri Handayani of mental retardation. To achieve these objectives the research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Respondents of this study consists of the principal, MCC curriculum, teacher skills, the class teacher. Results of this research study is to answer five questions about planing of learning vocational skills, vocational skills learning process of implementation, evaluation of vocational skill learning, barriers faced by teachers when teaching practices, and the efforts of teachers in overcoming obstacles is to motivate directly to each learner. Follow-up efforts in learning vocational skills, among others, by building public confidence in order to work together and talents of learners can be channeled properly, the school was trying to restore the confidence of some of the institutions that had worked in the follow-up program for learning vocational skills, and promote the results of vocational skills through a cooperative.
