Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran efektivitas penempatan dan tingkat efektivitas kerja karyawan, Selanjutnya mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penempatan terhadap efektivitas kerja karyawan di Kantor Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teori perilaku organisasi dalam perspektif psikologis yang menghubungkan antara dua variabel, yaitu Variabel Penempatan sebagai variabel X dengan indikator; latar belakang pendidikan, pengetahuan kerja, keterampilan kerja dan pengalaman kerja. Selanjutnya untuk Efektivitas Kerja Karyawan sebagai variabel Y dengan indikator; kualitas kerja, kuantitas kerja dan pemanfan waktu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey, teknik pengumpulan data yaitu penyebaran angket menggunakan skala pengukuran likert, dengan ukuran sampel 57 orang karyawan Kantor Dinas Pedidikan Kota Bandung. Teknis analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh informasi bawa penempatan berada pada kategori cukup efektif dan indikator terendah adalah latar belakang pendidikan, sedangkan efektivitas kerja berada pada kategori tinggi dan indikator terendah adalah pemanfaatan waktu. Uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa penempatan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas kerja di Kantor Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung. Nilai koefisien yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa korelasi yang lemah antara penempatan dan efektivitas kerja karyawan. ---------- The aims of this study were to find out the picture of the effectiveness of placement and the level of employees’ effectiveness of work. This study was also conducted to find out how big was the influence of placement on the employees’ effectiveness of work in Bandung Education Office. The approach of this study was organizational behavior theory in psychological perspective that connected two different variables. The first one was placement variable which was labeled as X variable. The indicators of it were educational knowledge, work knowledge, work skills and work experience. The second one was the effectiveness of work which was labeled as Y variable and the indicators were the quality of the work, the quantity of the work and time utilization. The method used in this study was survey with questionnaire as the technique of data collection. The questionnaire used Likert measurement scale with the sample of 57 employees of Bandung Education Office. The data was then analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings of this study showed that placement occurred in the category of quite effective and the lowest indicator of it was educational background. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of work occurred in a high category and the lowest indicator of it was time utilization. Hypothesis testing showed that placement gave positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of work in Bandung education office. Coefficient obtained showed that there was a weak correlation between placement and employees’ effectiveness of work.
