Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektifitas dari metode berbasis masalah (problem based learning) dengan media komiks strip dalam penulisan teks artikel siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode berbasis masalah (problem based learning) dengan media komik strip, serta mengkaji ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks artikel siswa yang menggunakan metode berbasis masalah (problem based learning) dengan media komik strip dengan kemampuan menulis teks artikel siswa yang menggunakan metode dan media yang biasa digunakan guru di sekolah tempat penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek Tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah dua kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik sampling purposive dengan memerhatikan strata dalam populasi tersebut. Kelas yang digunakan adalah kelas XI IIS 4 Sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IIS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian group pretes-postes.Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, rata-rata di kelas eksperimen pada pelaksanaan prates mencapai 67,25 dan prates 83,64. Sedangkan, di kelas kontrol rata-rata kemampuan menulis teks artikel siswa pada pelaksanaan prates mencapai 66,78 dan pascates mencapai 68,78. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan penghitungan uji-t, hasilnya ttabel ≤ thitung ≥ ttabel , yaitu 2,0063 ≤ 4,88 ≥ 2,0063. Hal ini berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa metode berbasis masalah (problem based learning) dengan media komik strip efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis khususnya dalam pembelajaran menulis teks artikel.----------The purposes of this study are to obtain the representation the student’s ability to write the text of observation reports before and after used Problem Based Learning models, as well as to examine the significant differences between the student’s ability to write the text of articel with the student’s ability to write the text of articel used discussion technique. The populations in this study were tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek academic year of 2014/2015. The samples in this study were two classes that determined ofsampling purposive technic with regarding the strata of the populations. The class that is used in this study is XI IPS 4 as experiment class and XI IPS 3 as control class. This study used an experimental research design with group of pretest-posttest research. Based on the acquired data, the average pretest score of experimental class is 67,25and the average posttest score is 83,64, while the average posttest score of control class is 66,78 and the average posttest score is 68,78. Based on the calculation of hypothesis testing that calculated by t-test the result is ttabel ≤ thitung ≥ ttabelor 2,0063≤ 4,88≥ 2,0063. This means that H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. This study proved that problem based learning models is effectively implemented in learning writing especially in learning writing the text of aricle. Therefore, the writer hope that the teachers use problem based learning with komik strip media as an alternative model fatherly teaching of writing to improve the ability to write the text ofarticel.
