Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang peningkatan kecerdasan sosial (social intelligence) siswa melalui permainan tradisional oray-orayan sebagai metode belajar yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan, peningkatan serta kendala dan solusi yang muncul dalam pembelajaran IPS. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di SMP Negeri 12 Bandung kelas VII E menggunakan metode observasi ,wawancara dan angket. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori kecerdasan sosial dari Daniel Goleman (2007). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan permainan tradisional oray-orayan sebagai metode pemelajaran dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan sosial siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan harus dilakukan sebelum pembelajaran dengan menyusun RPP, model, metode, serta strategi mengajar; pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan perencanaan yang telah dilakukan; Indikator dari kecerdasan sosial yang meningkat terlihat pada peningkatan Kesadaran akan peran dan tugas siswa, kerjasama, serta rasa saling menghargai sesama siswa;serta kendala dan solusi yang dihadapi umumnya adalah kurangnya pengalaman guru dalam memanfaatkan permainan tradisional oray-orayan, khususnya ketika tahap perencanaan dalam menyusun lembar kerja siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian, rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah agar guru dan pihak sekolah dapat memanfaatkan masyarakat dan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar dengan lebih baik serta pemanfaatan sumber belajar untuk meningkatkan kompetensi di aspek yang lain.----------This study is on the improvement of social intelligence of students through traditional games oray-orayan as a method of learning that aims to explain how the planning, implementation, improvement and obstacles and solutions that arise in social studies learning. The method used in this research is a classroom action research using Kemmis and Taggart model. Data collection is done in SMP Negeri 12 Bandung class VII E using the method of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The theory used is the theory of social intelligence is by Daniel Goleman (2007). The results showed that the use of traditional game oray-orayan as a learning method can be used as an alternative to improve the social intelligence of students. The results showed that the planning should be done before learning to prepare lesson plans, models, methods and teaching strategies; implementation of learning that are adapted to the planning that has been done; Indicators of social intelligence that increases seen in the increase in awareness of the role and duties of students, cooperation, and mutual respect among students, as well as obstacles and solutions encountered in general is the lack of experience of teachers in the use of traditional game oray-orayan, especially in the planning stage in preparing student worksheet. Based on research, the recommendations given is that teachers and schools can take advantage of the community and the school environment as a learning resource better and use of learning resources to improve competence in other aspects.
