Abstract

Tunanetra mengalami hambatan penglihatan yang berdampak pada kemampuan dan keterampilan melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari salah satunya aktivitas makan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan makan bersama pada remaja tunanetra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one - group pre test – post test. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan uji Wilcoxon. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 6 orang peserta didik tunanetra kelas IX SMPLB Negeri A Kota Bandung. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, menunjukkan bahwa model cooperative learning tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan makan bersama, sehingga model pembelajaran ini dapat dipergunakan guru sebagai model pembelajaran alternatif guna meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam hal keterampilan makan bersama. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima. Penelitian ini meneliti pengaruh model pembelajaran yang diterapkan untuk mempengaruhi keterampilan makan bersama. Diharapkan penelitian selanjutnya tidak hanya meneliti pengaruh keterampilan makan bersama saja akan tetapi dapat mengembangkan terhadap jenis aktivitas keseharian lainnya atau mencoba dengan karakteristik siswa yang lebih bervariasi.----------The blinds sustain a visual impairment affecting on the ability and the skill in doing daily activities such as eating. This research aims to identify the impact of cooperative learning model with a specific type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in enhancing a blind adolescent’s table manner skill. The research method applied is experiment method with the one group pre test - post test research design. The data is processed by Wilcoxon test. The research takes six visually-impaired sample students in class IX SMPLB Negeri A Bandung. The result of data analysis using Wilcoxon test shows that the cooperative learning model with a specific type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is able to enhance the table manner skill. Thus, this learning method is able to be applied by the teachers as an alternative to enhance student’s ability in the table manner skill. Therefore, the hypothesis proposed in this research is acceptable. This research identifies the impact of learning model applied in the table manner skill. The further research is expected to not only identify the impact of table manner skill but also other daily activities, or attempt to identify the students with other various characteristics.
