Abstract

Nana Banna merupakan seorang seniman lukis akademis yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap perkembangan seni rupa di kota Bandung karena beliau pernah menjadi dosen di jurusan Seni Rupa IKIP Bandung. Oleh karena itu, penulis merasa perlu untuk mengabadikan nama dan karya-karya lukis beliau ke dalam bentuk karya tulis melalui sebuah penelitian. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana proses kreatif berkarya lukis Nana Banna dan bagaimana visual estetik dan tema perempuan karya lukis Nana Banna yang dibuat pada periode berkarya tahun 1999 sampai 2008. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mencari tahu tentang bagaimana deskripsi dari hasil analisis terhadap karya-karya lukis Nana Banna yang bertema perempuan periode berkarya tahun 1999 sampai 2008 serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif analisis. Teknik analisis data dan pendekatan penelitian, penulis menggunakan teori estetika. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berupa uraian tentang biografi singkat Nana Banna dalam karirnya sebagai seniman, bagaimana proses kreatif berkarya lukis beliau dan bagaimana hasil analisis tematik dan visual estetik dalam bentuk deskripsi terhadap sepuluh karya lukis Nana Banna yang bertema perempuan pada periode berkarya antara tahun 1999 sampai tahun 2008. Setelah dianalisis, terdapat beberapa kesimpulan di antaranya adalah Nana Banna merupakan seorang seniman lukis yang karya-karya lukisnya cenderung beraliran ekspresionisme. Teknik melukis yang sering beliau gunakan adalah teknik pisau palet, arsiran charcoal dan softpastel serta kebanyakan figur perempuan dalam lukisan-lukisan beliau merupakan figur imajinasi yang dibentuk secara ekspresif. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi banyak pihak.----------Nana Banna was an academic painter who has an influence on the development of art in the city because he had been a lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts IKIP (Teachers' Training College) Bandung. Therefore, the authors feel the need to perpetuate the name and works of painting him into shape through a research paper. The problem of this research is how the creative process works painting Nana Banna and how visual aesthetics and themes of women painting Nana Banna created the work period 1999 to 2008. The purpose of this study is to find out about how the description of the analytical results of the works Nana Banna themed painting women working period 1999 to 2008 as well as the factors that influence it. The type of research conducted by the authors is the kind of qualitative research with descriptive research method of analysis. As for the technique of data analysis and research approaches, the author uses the theory of aesthetics. The results obtained in the form of a brief description of the biography of Nana Banna in his career as an artist, how the creative process works he painted and how the results of the analysis of thematic and visual aesthetic in the form of a description of the Nana Banna ten paintings on the theme of women in the work period between 1999 and 2008. After the analysis, there are some conclusions which are Nana Banna was an artist painting his paintings tend to wing expressionism. His painting technique that is often used is the palette knife technique, shading charcoal and softpastel and mostly female figures in the paintings he is a figure formed by expressive imagination. It is hoped this research can be beneficial to many parties.
