Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi fakta bergesernya eksistensi tradisi lisan yang erat kaitannya dengan sistem nilai pengetahuan, sejarah, hukum, adat istiadat, kedudukan sosial, dan sistem kepercayaan di masyarakat. Tradisi lisan yang sarat nilai ini perlu untuk dipertahankan, dibangkitkan, bahkan dikembangkan kembali. Tradisi hajat lembur ampih pare (HLAP) merupakan salah satu wujud rasa syukur masyarakat Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang kepada Sang Pencipta setelah panen padi dengan proses utama penyimpanan padi. Masalah dirumuskan dalam dua pertanyaan penelitian: (1) Bagaimanakah proses pelaksanaan tradisi lisan HLAP Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang? (2) Model seperti apakah yang dapat dikembangkan dari pelaksanaan tradisi lisan HLAP Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang untuk pelestarian tradisi lisan di masyarakat? Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara kepada para tokoh, pihak pemerintahan, praktisi pendidikan, generasi muda dan masyarakat umum di wilayah Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang. Data diolah secara tekstual dan kontekstual dengan metode etnografi dan fenomenologi. Dari hasil observasi dan wawancara ditemukan bahwa tradisi HLAPmerupakan sebuah rangkaian kegiatan yang dilaksanakan satu hari satu malam dengan tahapan: (1) gontra sawala, (2) pawai obor, (3) pagelaran kesenian tradisional, (4) proses utama ampih pare, (5) makan bersama, (6)kesenian tradisional.Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan tujuh unsur kebudayaan: a) Peralatan kehidupan manusia dalam pawai obor, tampilan kesenian, ampih pare, makan bersama, dan seni tayub; b) Mata pencaharian dalam ampih pare; c) Sistem kemasyarakatan dalam semua kegiatan; d) Sistem bahasa, baik lisan maupun tulisan dalam semua tahapan kegiatan; e) Kesenian dengan berbagai jenisnya dalam tampilan dan pagelaran kesenian serta kegiatan ampih pare; f) Sistem pengetahuan; dan g) Sistem religi dalam semua tahapan hajat lembur ampih pare. Hasil kajian dimanfaatkan sebagai dasar untuk membuat model pelestarian tradisi lisan di masyarakat. Selama ini model pelestarian HLAP hanya dilaksanakan dalam bentuk rutinitas pelaksanaan, dalam bidang pendidikan belum dilaksanakan secara optimal. Model ini berupa model pelatihan dalam pendidikan nonformal dan pembelajaran dalam pendidikan formal dengan pendekatan teori pohon (mengembangkan budaya tanpa mengabaikan prinsip dasar kebudayaan asal). Model ini perlu ditindaklanjuti berbagai pihak seperti pemerintah, tokoh adat, masyarakat, generasi muda dan pihak terkait lainnya sehingga tujuan pelestarian dapat tercapai.---------- The study is based on the changing situation towards the existence of oral tradition which has closed relation with the system of knowledge, history and beliefs in society. This valuable oral tradition should be maintained, recovered and even reinvented. The tradition of hajat lembut ampih pare (HLAP) is one of grateful expression performed by people in Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang to their Creature after harvesting rice with restoring the rice as the main activity. The research questions were formulated as follows: (1). How oral tradition process of HLAP is performed in Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumeadng? (2). What kind of model can be developed from HLAP oral tradition performance in Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang in society? The study used a qualitative approach. The data were collected by using an observation and interview technique with public leaders, government, young people and people in Kecamatan Situraja Kabupaten Sumedang. The data were deeply investigated with descriptive study and then contextually analyzed with ethnography and phenomenology method. From the observation and interview, it is found that the tradition of HLAP is a series of program which is performed one day and one night with the following sequences: (1). Gantra sawala, (2). Torch parade, (3). Traditional art performance, (4). Main activity ampih pare, (5). Eaten together (6)Traditional art performance. From the data analysis, it finds that there are cultural elements: a). Human life equipments in torch parade, art performance, ampih pare, eating together and tayub art performance; b). Human making life in Ampih Pare c). Social system in all activites; (d). Language system, both oral or written in all activities; (e). Art in various performances and in Ampih Pare ; (f). Knowledge system; and (g). Religious system in all step activities Hajat Lembur Ampih Pare. The study is used as a basis of oral tradition conservational model in society. Model for preservation of HLAP tradition is carried out in the form of routine execution. The education sector hasn’t been involved optimally, which is training model in non-formal education and learning in formal education by using a tree model (developing a culture without abandoning basic principles of original culture). The model should be followed up by stakeholders, such as government, public leader, society, young generation in the sake of cultural conservation.
