Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Role Playing Dalam Pembelajaran Seni Tari Sebagai Upaya Pembinaan Karakter Siswa Kelas VA SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI”. Permasalahan pembinaan karakter pada sistem pendidikan di Indonesia sangat serius diperhatikan, hal ini kemudian menjadi salah satu penekanan dan dasar pengembangan kurikulum saat ini, hal ini mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembelajaran seni tari di SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Role Playing, bagaimana proses pembelajaran seni tari dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Role Playing, dan apakah hasil pembelajaran seni tari dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Role Playing mampu membina karakter siswa. Karakter siswa yang diharapkan melalui peranan Model Pembelajaran Role Playing dalam Pembelajaran seni Tari terfokus pada rasa Tanggung Jawab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswi kelas VA SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI yang berjumlah 15 orang dan tanpa ada kelas pembanding. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan observasi, pretest dan post-test, hasil pretest dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 2,44 (C+) dan hasil post-test dengan nilai rata-rata 3,06 (B). Dari data hasil belajar siswa, terlihat bahwa karakter siswa khusunya rasa tanggung jawab siswa terbina dengan baik, hal tersebut juga berpengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa yang meningkat. Sehingga dapat dinyatakan, bahwa pembelajaran seni tari dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran Role Playing mampu menjadi salah satu upaya pembinaan karakter siswa di kelas VA SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI. ---------- This research entitled “The Application of Role Playing Model in Learning Art of Dance as an Effort to Develop Character Building of Fifth Grade Students of Laboratorium Percontohan Elementary School UPI”. Character Builing has become an important issue to be concerned in educational field in Indonesia. Therefore, this issue becomes one of the bases of curriculum development nowdays and the reason for the researcher to finish this research. This research aims to investigate how the learning of art of dance is proceed in Laboratorium Percontohan Elementary School UPI before and when applying Role Playing, and whether the results of learning the art of dance by applying Role Playing model can build students’ character, especially focusing on students’ responsibility. This research uses pre-experiment and quantitative method. This research involves 15 female fifth grade students of Laboratorium Percontohan Elementary School UPI without comparator class. Based on the pre-test and post-test observation, the research finds that the result of pre-test has an average of 2.44 (C+), and the result of post-test has an average of 3.06 (B). The increase of students’ learning outcomes indicates that students’ character, especially their responsibility is well built. Therefore, applying Role Playing in learning art of dance can be considered as one of efforts to develop character building of fifth grade students of Laboratorium Percontohan Elementary School UPI.
