Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan sebuah proses membelajarkan peserta didik agar memperoleh kompetensi tertentu yang telah dirumuskan oleh pengajar. Salah satu faktor pendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran adalah minat dan motivasi siswa yang tinggi. Siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler perkusi di SMAN 7 Bandung terlihat memiliki motivasi dan prestasi yang relatif baik, sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk mengungkap strategi yang dilakukan pengajar dalam menentukan materi, metode, dan hasil yang dicapai oleh siswa. Kajian dilakukan berlandaskan pada teori tentang motivasi, metode pembelajaran, dan sistem evaluasi dalam pembelajaran. Untuk mengungkap itu semua, peneliti menggunakan tehnik penelitian dalam bentuk wawancara dan observasi langsung. Dari penelitian diperoleh temuan bahwa keberhasilan dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran di ekstrakurikuler perkusi SMAN 7 Bandung, diperngaruhi oleh latar belakang dan pengalaman guru sebagai percussionist, sehingga guru mampu menjadi model yang baik saat melakukan demonstrasi. Selain itu ditemukan kelemahan, guru belum membuat perencanaan sehingga materi tidak tersusun secara terstruktur dari yang mudah menuju sulit. Metode yang digunakan sudah cukup bervariasi, yakni metode demonstrasi, imitasi, drill dan tutor sebaya. Metode tersebut masih dapat dikembangkan dalam model pembelajaran yang direncanakan. Kemampuan siswa meningkat karena motivasi belajar meningkat dari pertemuan demi pertemuan.----------Learning is a process to transfer knowledge from teacher to student to get specific competent that has been designed by teacher. One of the essential thing to support a successful learning process are students’ interest and motivation. Student of Percussion Club in SMA 7 Bandung has a great motivation and good achievement. As a fact, the researcher was interested to find out the learning strategies that used by the teacher. This research will covers the theory of motivation, learning methodology, and learning evaluation. To discover all those issues, the researcher used interview and direct observation. By observation, the research find out that the successful learning process in Percussion club at the SMA 7 Bandung are supporting by the background of teacher and his experiences as percussionist. The teacher plays as good model to the students. On the other hand, the teacher has no specific plan to design the learning process, the material is no structured in order by the easy one to the hard one. The methodology that used in learning has various ways such as demonstration, imitation,drilling, and friendship tutoring. The methodology is still has a possibility to be developed in structured learning model. The student ability has increasing because of the highly motivated student by time to time in every meeting.
