Abstract

Kemampuan mengajukan pertanyaan merupakan kemampuan yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam menghadapi abad 21. Kemampuan ini perlu dikembangkan untuk menyiapkan siswa menghadapi masalah kehidupan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam mengajukan pertanyaan serta mendeskripsikan jumlah dan jenis pertanyaan yang diajukan siswa berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom revisi dan taksonomi Gallagher & Ascher. Masalah yang ingin dijawab melalui penelitian ini adalah : apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap kemampuan siswa mengajukan pertanyaan pada tema pemanasan global?”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan desain posttest only design with non equivalent group. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 92 orang siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bengkalis, Prop. Riau. Instrumen penelitian lembar observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT memberikan pengaruh pada jumlah pertanyaan yang dihasilkan siswa, dimana jumlah pertanyaan kelas eksperimen lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Jenis pertanyaan yang paling banyak diajukan siswa adalah pertanyaan kognitif C1 (remember) dan C2 (understanding) sementara dimensi pengetahuan yang banyak terlibat adalah faktual dan konseptual. Jenis pertanyaan siswa berdasarkan taksonomi Gallagher & Ascher didominasi oleh pertanyaan ingatan (cognitive-memory) dan konvergen (convergent thinking). Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan setuju bahwa penerapan model pembelajaraan kooperatif tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengajukan pertanyaan.----------The ability to ask questions is a skill that is needed in the face of the 21st century, this capability should be developed to prepare the students to face the problems of life. This study aimed to describe the effect of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on the ability of students to ask questions and to describe the number and type of questions asked by the students based on Bloom's taxonomy and taxonomic revision Gallagher & Ascher. A problem to be answered by this study is whether there is influence of cooperative learning model NHT on the ability of students to ask questions on the theme of global warming? ". The method used was experimental design with posttest only design with non-equivalent group. Subject of the study involving 92 students of class VII in one of the Junior High School in Bengkalis, Prop. Riau. The research instrument sheet of observation and questionnaire. The results showed that cooperative learning type NHT influenced to the number of inquiries generated between the experimental class students more than the control class. Kinds of question most asked by the students is cognitive question C1 (remember) and C2 (understanding) while domain of knowledge involved factual and conceptual. Kinds of questions students based taxonomy Gallagher & Ascher dominated by questions of memory (cognitive-memory) and convergent (convergent thinking). The results of questionnaire analysis showed that almost all of the students responded to agree to the implementation of cooperative learning model of NHT could improve students' asking question abilities to submit written questions.
