Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan sikap ilmiah siswa serta mengungkap tanggapan siswa terhadap pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis praktikum virtual pada konsep tumbuhan lumut dan tumbuhan paku. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experimental dengan desain adalah the matching pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel terdiri atas satu kelas eksperimen (X MIA 3) dan satu kelas kontrol (X MIA 4). Kelas eksperimen menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum virtual dan kelas kontrol menerapkan pembelajaran praktikum biasa (konvensional). Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah soal kemampuan berpikir kritis berbentuk pilihan ganda dan open ended essay, skala sikap ilmiah berbentuk skala Likert dan angket tanggapan siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian diawali dengan kegiatan pretest dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan posttest pada masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara rata-rata nilai N-gain kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas X MIA 4 (kelas kontrol) dengan nilai N-gain pada kelas X MIA 3 (kelas eksperimen) (nilai sig-2tailed < (0,05)). Sedangkan, hasil penelitian sikap ilmiah siswa menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan antara rata-rata nilai N-gain skala sikap ilmiah siswa pada kelas X MIA 4 (kelas kontrol) dengan nilai N-gain pada kelas X MIA 3 (kelas eksperimen) (nilai sig-2tailed > (0,05)). Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa praktikum virtual pada konsep tumbuhan lumut dan tumbuhan paku berpengaruh signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis, tetapi tidak berbeda signifikan terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa----------This study was aimed at analyzing the improvement in critical thinking skills and scientific attitude of students to the concept of mosses and ferns. The research method used was Quasy Experimental Design, the matching pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consists of one class of experiment (X MIA 3) and a control class (X MIA 4). Experimental class implementing a virtual lab-based learning and teaching practicum classes implement regular control. The instrument used for data collection is a matter of critical thinking skills in the form of open-ended essays and scientific attitude scale Likert scale form. The experiment began with a pretest and posttest ends with activities in each class of experimental and control classes. The results showed that there is a difference between the average value of the N-Gain critical thinking skills of students in class X MIA 4 (class control) with a value of N-Gain in class X MIA 3 (class experimental) (sig-2tailed < (0,05)). Meanwhile, the results of scientific attitude of students showed no difference between the average value of the N-gain scale scientific attitude of students in class X MIA 4 (class control) with a value of N-Gain in class X MIA 3 (class experimental) (value sig- 2tailed >(0.05)). Based on the analysis it can be concluded that a virtual lab on the concept of mosses and ferns have a significant effect on critical thinking skills, but did not difference significantly to the scientific attitude of students
