Abstract

Masalah yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya prestasi belajarpara siswa SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi, khususnya pada mata pelajaran produktif kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran.Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 57 siswa kelas Xmata pelajaran produktif kelas XAdministrasi Perkantoran di SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey eksplanasi.Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model skala likert.Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional berada pada kategori sedang, motivasi belajar siswaberada pada kategori tinggi, dan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran produktif kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran di SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi berada pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisien regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda, diperoleh hasil bahwa kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar baik secara parsial maupun simultan memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pihak guru lebih memperhatikan aspek kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar siswa agar dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran siswa dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajarnya.----------The issue that investigated in this study concerned with students’ academic achievement at SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi that has not optimal yet, especially in the skill competence of office administration. This present study aimed to discover the influence of emotional intelligence and learning motivation toward students’ academic achievement. There were 57 respondents of the tenth grade student from skill competence of office administration class at SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi participated in this study. The method used in this study was the explanatory survey method. Questionnaires were used to collect the data, which are elaborated further using the Likert scale model. The data then were analyzed using the simple regression and multiple regression analysis. The result of the data analysis revealed that emotional intelligence included medium category, students’ learning included in high category, meanwhile the students’ academic achievement in the skill competence of office administration class at SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi included in mediocre category. Based on the coefficient calculation of simple and multiple regression, the result revealed that emotional intelligence and learning motivation both partially and simultaneously, has the positive and significant influence toward students’ academic achievement. This present study suggests that teachers should be more concern with the students’ emotional intelligence and learning motivation aspect in order to increase their academic achievement in learning activities
