Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan KPS terintegrasi siswa SMA melalui penerapan pembelajaran inquiry lab pada materi daur ulang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih kurangnya keterampilan-keterampilan siswa dalam melaksanakan penyelidikan atau percobaan dalam pembelajaran. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah pendidikan sekarang hanya memperoleh konsep yang sudah jadi dari sebuah penelitian, tanpa menerapkan keterampilan siswa dalam ber-inquiry yang merupakan salah satu tujuan utama pembelajaran sains. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonequivalent Control Group, Pretest-Posttest Design dengan teknik pengumpulkan sampling Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan KPS terintegrasi antara kelas eksperimen dengan N-gain 0,77 (tinggi) dan kelas kontrol dengan N-gain 0,26 (rendah). Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap kemampuan KPS terintegrasi, pembelajaran yang dilakukan telah memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif. Hasil belajar siswa diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.---------- The purpose of this research was to identify the enhancement of integrated high school students’s science process skill through implementing inquiry lab based learning on recycle concept. The background of this research is the lack of students’ ability in conducting observation and experimentation on learning science. One of the causes is the fact that educational condition now was directly giving the concept without considering students’ ability in inquiry, which is one of the aim of learning science. A quantitative method with Nonequivalent Control Group, Pretest-Posttest Design with purposive sampling technique was used for this research. Based on the result of the study, there is significant enhancement of students’ integrated science process skill. The experimental class has N-gain 0.77 which is on high category, while the control class has 0.26 on the low category. Most of the student gave positive responses to the implementation of integrated science process skill, which is give opportunity to the students to participate actively. The result of the learning can hopefully implemented in their daily lives.
