Abstract
Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi Program Keahlian Teknik Transmisi pada mata pelajaran Teknik Digital terdapat beberapa hambatan diantaranya trainer yang digunakan harus selalu terhubung pada sumber tegangan (tidak portable), trainer banyak yang rusak atau tidak berfungsi, kurang menarik, dan panel praktikum tidak mengikuti pemahaman konsep digital yang dimulai dari pemahaman simbol gerbang logika dasar sampai pada rangkaian kombinasi digital, serta pelaksanaan model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) yang tidak sesuai dengan tahapan PBL yang sebenarnya. Maka peneliti mencoba mengimplementaskan trainer digital portable dengan pendekatan PBL. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hasil belajar ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor pada kelas dengan penerapan media pembelajaran konvensional trainer digital dan pada kelas dengan penerapan media pembelajaran trainer digital portable melalui pendekatan PBL serta mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar pada ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor antara kedua kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif, pendekatan Quasi-experimental design dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X Tetrans A sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan siswa kelas X Tetrans B sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes berupa soal pilihan ganda untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif. Evaluasi hasil belajar pada ranah afektif dan psikomotor menggunakan penilaian otentik dengan menggunakan lembar observasi pengukuran ranah afektif dan psikomotor. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar pada ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor antara penggunaan media pembelajaran trainer digital portable dan media pembelajaran konvensional pada praktikum Teknik Digital melalui pendekatan PBL. Perbedaan hasil belajar dari kedua kelas, dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata yang menujukan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol. Maka peneliti menyarankan agar trainer digital portable dijadikan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran pada praktikum Teknik Digital dan dalam melakukan evaluasi hasil belajar siswa sebaiknya guru tidak hanya melihat dari hasil akhir praktikum saja tetapi dilihat dari proses praktikum yang dilakukan siswa. Trainer digital portable bukan satu-satunya media yang dapat digunakan sehingga diharapkan pengembangkan trainer dengan fitur-fitur tambahan sebagai pelengkap eksperimen teknik digital. Based on observation in Trasnmision Engineering Program at SMKN 1 Cimahi on digital system course, there was any problem in practical work, such as for using digital trainer the students must be connect trainer in AC source (not portable), many trainer have broken, it is not interesting and practical panel on trainer is not following concept based on digital system concept such as the sudent have to know from understanding logic gate to digital combinational circuit. Other problem was uisng problem based learning (PBL) model in class was not same based on real PBL steps. So that researcher is try to implement portable digital trainer through PBL approach. The purpose of research is to know the different learning outcome of cognitive field, afective field and psicomotoric field in class that using conventional digital trainer and other class using portable digital trainer and both of class is applied PBL. Quantitative method with Quasi-experimental design approach and Nonequivalent Control Group Design is used in research and for sample of the research that was students X grads in Transmition Engineering A as experimental class and students X grads in Transmition Engineering B as control class. Multiple choice test is used as instrument to meassure learning outcome on cognitive field, afective field and psicomotoric field. Evaluate of learning outcome on afective and psicomotoric field are used authentic assessment by observation list. Based on hipothesis test there are any different learning outcome on cognitive field, afective field and psicomotoric field between class that using portable digital trainer and the other class that using conventional trainer in digital system practical work through PBL approach. The different of learning outcome from both class could to see from average value that showing the experimental class has lower average value than control class. So that, portable digital trainer is recommendated as way as alternative media for digital system practical work. For evaluation result, the teacher should be not only look at the end of practical work but also from the practical work process. Portable digital trainet not only the way of media that can be used, so that the trainer can be modified by adding new features for complete an experiment digital system in the future.
