Abstract

Dalam rangka merevitalisasi ruang publik agar lebih menarik, maka dilakukan pembangunan taman tematik agar menarik bagi masyarakat untuk datang ke taman daripada ke pusat perbelanjaan yang semakin hari semakin bertambah di Kota Bandung. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana representasi taman tematik di Kota Bandung. Tujuan diadakan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis gambaran taman tematik di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian survei dengan metode Kualitatif. Sedangkan dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan studi literatur, plotting dan survei, observasi lapangan, angket, dan wawancara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh taman kota yang ada di Kota Bandung, sedangkan sampel terdiri dari tiga yaitu sampel wilayah dan sampel manusia. Sampel wilayah pada penelitian ini adalah merupakan sampel jenuh, sampel manusia pengambilannya menggunakan Nonprobability Sampling yaitu Accidental Sampling, sedangkan sampel pengelola pengambilannya menggunakan sampel purposive. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, persebaran taman tematik di Kota Bandung masih bergerombol (cluster pattern) di dekat pusat kota, sehingga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan pembangunannya ke seluruh wilayah Kota Bandung. Kemudian, daya dukung taman tematik di Kota Bandung sudah cukup mendukung aktivitas masyrakat, namun ada beberapa yang masih harus ditingkatkan kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Pengelolaan taman tematik sudah terbilang baik, dan harus didukung oleh semua pihak baik pengelola, masyarakat yang berkunjung maupun stake holder setempat. Dengan demikian perlu dibangunnya minimal satu taman tematik diseluruh wilayah kota agar menghindari kecemburuan sosial pada masyarakat Kota Bandung lainnya. Kata Kunci: Taman Tematik, Ruang Publik, Dinas Pemakaman dan Pertamanan Kota Bandung (DISKAMTAM) In order to revitalize the public space to make it more attractive, then the construction of theme parks that appeal to the public to come to the park instead of a shopping center that is increasingly growing in Bandung. The problem studied in this research is how the representation of the theme parks in the city of Bandung. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the description of the theme park in Bandung. This study uses survey research design with qualitative methods. While in data collection using the study of literature, plotting and surveys, field observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The population in this study were all a city park in the city of Bandung, while the sample is composed of two kind sample, region samples and human samples. Region sample in this study is a saturated sample, the sample uptake human use that is Accidental Sampling Nonprobability Sampling, while samples of uptake manager using purposive sampling. Based on the research results, the distribution of thematic park in Bandung still clustered (cluster pattern) near the city center, so it has the potential to be developed construction throughout the city of Bandung. Then, the carrying capacity of the theme park in Bandung is sufficient to support the activity of the community, but there are some who still have improved the quality and quantity. Theme park management has been fairly good, and should be supported by all parties, both managers, the people who visit and local stakeholders. Thus the need to build at least one theme parks throughout the city area in order to avoid social jealousy to other people in Bandung.
