    Abstract

    Hambatan kemampuan lateralisasi anak tunagrahita ringan disebabkan oleh hambatan perkembangan kecerdasan dan kognitif yang dialaminya. Anak tunagrahita mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep lateralisasi yaitu pemahaman dalam arah kanan, kiri, depan, belakang, atas dan bawah. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk memberikan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan yang dapat menstimulasi kemampuan lateralisasi anak tunagrahita ringan secara optimal . Pembelajaran yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran gerak dan lagu. Pembelajaran ini menggunakan gerak dan lagu yang di dalamnya terkandung syair atau lirik mengenai arah kanan, kiri, depan, belakang, atas dan bawah yang dalam pelaksanaanya diaplikasikan dengan gerakan yang dilakukan oleh subjek penelitian.
    Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah single subject research dengan desain A-B-A. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV PKH Assakinah yang mengalami hambatan dalam kemampuan lateralisasi. Tes yang dilakukan berupa tes kemampuan lateralisasi (kanan, kiri, depan, belakang, atas dan bawah) baik secara konsep maupun gerak.
    Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan lateralisasi sebagai pengaruh penggunaan pembelajaran gerak dan lagu. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari perolehan mean level pada setiap fase yang dilakukan, pada fase baseline (A-1) 27,75%, fase intervensi (B) memperoleh 44,22% serta pada fase baseline (A-2) memperoleh mean level 51,4%.
    Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penggunaan pembelajaran gerak dan lagu dapat meningkatkan kemampuan lateralisasi anak tunagrahita ringan

    Children with mild mental retardation has limited ability to lateralization due to lack of both intelegence and cognitive development they suffer. Childrens with mental retardation struggles with comprehending the concept of lateralization, for example understanding the direction of right, left, front, back, up, down. Based on that issue, researchers were intrigued to provide stimulation for childrens with mild mental retardation the capability of lateralization optimally. Method that is being used in this research is through movement an song. This method uses movement and song in wich content lyrics about the direction of right, left, front, back,up and down. Which is then being done by the research subject themself.
    The method used in this research is single subject research with A-B-A design. Subject of research were grade IV student of PKH Assakinah whom suffers difficulties in lateralization. The test conducted were lateralization ability (right, left, front, back.up and down) both concept and movement.
    The result from the conducted experiment shows signs of increasing ability of lateralization from the use of movement and song. It is seen from the mean level scores from each phase, from baseline phase (A-1) 27, 75%, intervention phase (B) 44,22% and on baseline phase (A-2) scores 51,4%.
    Based on the result of the experiment it is concluded that, through movement and song, could increase the ability of lateralization in children mild mental retardation.
