Abstract
Anak tunarungu secara lahiriah tidak berbeda dengan anak pada umumnya, akan tetapi akibat dari keterbatasan dalam pendengaran yang dialami anak tunarungu berimplikasi tehadap perkembangan bicara dan berbahasanya. Hal ini disebabkan karena kemampuan pengucapan kosakata anak tunarungu kurang begitu jelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengucapan kosakata bahasa indonesia pada anak tunarungu melalui penerapan metode Multisensori yang pada penelitian ini mencakup tiga aspek indera penangkap yaitu, visual, kinestetik, dan taktil di SD Negeri Sabajaya II Karawang. Pengajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah luar biasa pada anak tunarungu cenderung lebih mengarah pada peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami kosakata Bahasa Indonesianya saja tanpa memperbaiki cara pengucapan kosakata yang salah yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Single Subject Research dengan pola desain A-B-A yang dilakukan pada subjek penelitian selama 16 sesi. Data yang sudah terkumpul kemudian diolah dan di analisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan skor dari fase baseline-1 (A1), fase intervensi (B), dan baseline-2 (A2). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa metode multisensori dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pengucapan kosakata Bahasa Indonesia pada anak tunarungu, dengan demikian metode multisensori ini dapat direkomendasikan untuk menjadi metode yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Metode Multisensori, Kosakata Bahasa Indonesia, dan Anak Tunarungu. Naturally, children with hearing impairment are not diffrent from the other normal children, but they have special needs in hearing, sothat it causes impacts to the development in speaking and languages. It is because, the vocabulary pronounciation of children with hearing impairment is not clear. This study aims to improve the pronounciation of Indonesian language Vocabulary in children with hearing impairment through the application of multisensory method which covers three aspects of sensescatcher in this study, they are visual, kinesthetic, and tactil) in SD Negeri Sabaya II Karawang. Indonesian language teaching in special schools for children with hearing impairment tends to lead to the developments students’ capability in understanding indonesian language vocabulary without correcting the wrong pronounciation vocabulary by the students. the method used in this study is Single Subject Research with patterns design A-B-A which is performed during 16 session to the research subject. the data collected is the processed and analyzed. based on the research result, there are the improvements from baseline-1 (A1) phase, intervension (B) phase, and baseline-2 (A2) phase. it indicates that multisensory method can improve the prornounciation of indonesia language vocabulary in children with hearing impairment, this method can be recomended to be method which can be appllicated in learning process.
