Abstract
Penelitian ini tentang penerapan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed yang memadukan materi pelajaran biologi, fisika dan kimia SMP kelas VIII dengan tema tekanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada tema tekanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Bandung. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed dan satu lagi kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional yaitu pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe fragmented. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, tes penguasaan konsep dan angket tanggapan siswa. Hasil perolehan rata-rata N-gain keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,65 dengan kategori sedang sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,36 dengan kategori sedang. Tes uji beda rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari α=0,05. Rata-rata N-gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,61 dengan kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,48 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil tes uji beda rata-rata N-gain penguasaan konsep sebesar 0,046 lebih kecil dari α=0,05. Dengan demikian peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada tema tekanan setelah pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed meningkat secara signifikan. Hampir seluruh siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Terpadu Tipe Webbed, Problem Based Learning, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Penguasaan Konsep Integrated science learning webbed type aims to know the increase critical thinking ability and content knowledge of students on the theme of pressure. Research method was quasy experimental with non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The population was the whole of VIII grade in the one school. The sample were two classes for experiment class that used integrated science learning webbed type and control class used conventional learning that integrated science learning fragmented type. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The instruments were critical thinking test, content knowledge test and student perception questionnaire. The result analysis of N-gain acquired average of N-gain critical thinking skills in experiment class is 0.65 with medium category and control class is 0.36 with medium category. Discrimination index of critical thinking skills is 0.000 less than 0.05. Average N-gain of content knowledge for experiment class is 0.61 with medium category and control class is 0.48 with medium category. Discrimination index of content knowledge is 0.046 less that 0.05. So, critical thinking skills and content knowledge of junior high school students after implementation of integrated science learning webbed type on the theme of pressure increased significantly. Almost all of students gave positive perception to integrated science learning webbed type on the theme of pressure.
