Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya nilai siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Berdasarkan observasi awal permasalahnya berasal dari guru. Dimana pembelajarannya masih menggunakan metode konvensional sehingga keaktifan siswa tidak ditunjukkan selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini ditujukan pada penerapan model Cooperative tipe NHT pada mata pelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tujuan yang hendak dicapai pada penelitin ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan : (1) perencanaan pembelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang melalui penerapan model Cooperative tipe NHT; (2) proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang melalui penerapan model Cooperative tipe NHT; (3) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang melalui penerapan model Cooperative tipe NHT. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart dengan tiga siklus dimana setiap siklusnya dilakukan dua kali tindakan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 4 Nasol Kecamatan Cikoneng Kabupaten Ciamis tahun ajaran 2012/2013, dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan model Cooperative tipe NHT pada mata pelajaran matematika menunjukkan adanya peningkatan proses pembelajaran, terlihat dengan siswa menjadi aktif. Demikian pula perolehan nilai hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran yang dinyatakan dalam persen pada siklus I rata-rata siswa mencapai 64,8%, pada siklus II rata-rata siswa mencapai 75,8%, dan siklus III rata-rata siswa mencapai 85,2% siswa yang mencapai nilai KKM. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative tipe NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi bangun ruang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, ada beberapa rekomendasi yang hendak disampaikan, antara lain : (1) Guru diharapkan mencoba menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Tipe NHT pada materi lainnya dalam pembelajaran matematika maupun pada mata pelajaran lainnya, (2) Bagi peneliti lain, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan mengambil subjek dan pokok bahasan lainnya pada pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. This research is motivated by the low value of the students in the subjects of Mathematics. Based on preliminary observations the problem comes from the teacher. Where learning is still using conventional methods so that active students are not shown during the learning process. This study is aimed at the application of Cooperative models NHT type material in mathematics up space. Based on these problems, the objectives to be achieved in this experiment is to describe: (1) planning mathematics instruction material up through the application of the model space Cooperative NHT type, (2) the implementation of mathematics learning materials through the application of the model up space Cooperative NHT type, (3) improving student learning outcomes in mathematics learning material through the application of the model up space Cooperative NHT type. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which adapt the model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart with three cycles in which each cycle was performed twice action. The subjects were fifth grade students of SDN 4 Nasol District Cikoneng Kudat District school year 2012/2013, the number of students 25. The results using the model type NHT Cooperative in mathematics showed an increase in the learning process, seen by students to be active. Similarly, the acquisition value of the learning outcomes of students in learning that is expressed in percent in the first cycle of students achieving an average of 64.8%, in the second cycle students achieve an average 75.8%, and third cycle students achieve an average of 85.2 % of students who achieved the KKM. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of Model Cooperative NHT type can improve student learning outcomes in the material up space. Based on these results, there are some recommendations that would be submitted, inter alia: (1) Teachers are expected to try to use Cooperative Learning Model NHT type on other materials in mathematics and in other subjects, (2) For other researchers, more research needs to be done about the use of cooperative learning model NHT in the learning of mathematics by taking the subject and other subjects in mathematics instruction to improve student learning outcomes.
