Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan model Experiential Kolb pada pembelajaran fisika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Metode penelitiannya pre-experiment dengan desain one group pretest-posttest yang dilaksanakan pada kelas X di salah satu SMAN di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar ranah kognitif meningkat dengan kategori “sedang” dengan rata-rata N-gain 0,59. Hasil penilaian portofolio untuk delapan aspek keterampilan proses sains menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tiap pertemuan. Siswa memiliki respon positif terhadap penerapan model Experiential Kolb. Dapat disimpulkan, model Experiential Kolb dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ranah kognitif dan keterampilan proses sains. This research purpose to find out how far applying Kolb’s Experiential model in physics learning can improve study result of cognitive domain and student’s science process skills. The method of this research is pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design that was done on X class at one of the senior high school in Pesisir Selatan regency. Result of research indicated that study result of cognitive domain rise in category "medium" with N-gain average 0.59. Result of portofolio assessment for eight aspects of science process skills showed the increasing for all aspects in every meeting. Students have positive respon on applying Kolb’s Experiential model. Can be inferred, Kolb’s Experiential model can improve study result of cognitive domain and science process skills.
