Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik problem-solving terhadap siswa Kelas VIII SMP Nurjamilah Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan, yaitu : kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket konsep diri yang telah diuji secara statistik menggunakan software Microsoft Excel 2007 dan software Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 17.0 for Windows dengan rumus korelasi Product Moment yang ditemukan oleh Pearson. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Nurjamilah Bekasi Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 yang memiliki konsep diri lebih rendah dari pada siswa lainnya di jenjang yang sama dengan teknik probability sampling yang diambil secara purposive sampling sebanyak 14 orang dari 90 orang siswa di kelas VIII. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik problem-solving efektif untuk mengembangkan konsep diri siswa kelas VIII SMP Nurjamilah Bekasi dengan peningkatan skor konsep diri kelompok eksperimen sebesar rata-rata 13,814. This study has the objective to test the effectiveness of group counseling with problem-solving techniques to Class VIII students of SMP Nurjamilah Bekasi. This study uses a quantitative approach. The method used, namely: a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques performed using a questionnaire self-concept has been tested statistically using Microsoft Excel 2007 software and software Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 17.0 for Windows with Product Moment Correlation formula invented by Pearson. Samples of research is class VIII SMP Nurjamilah Bekasi academic year 2013/2014 which have a lower self-concept than the other students at the same level with probability sampling techniques are taken by purposive sampling counted 14 people from 90 students in class VIII. Data analysis techniques using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that group counseling with effective problem-solving techniques to develop the concept of self-class VIII SMP Nurjamilah Bekasi with an increase in the experimental group self-concept scores by an average of 13.814.
