Abstract
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasieksperimen dengan desain pretest-postest control group design, bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil pembelajaran menulis teks argumentasi peserta didik di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Karangnunggal; mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode enam topi berpikir (six thinking hats) dengan media audiovisual; mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran terlangsung; mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan metode enam topi berpikir (six thinking hats) dengan media audiovisual. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 66 siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Karangnunggal. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi. Hasil penelitian: 1) Profil pembelajaran menulis teks argumentasi siswa di SMAN 1 Karangnunggal masih tergolong rendah; 2) Peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Rata-rata n-gain kelas eksperimen adalah 0,66 dan kelas kontrol 0,49 dan keduanya termasuk kategori sedang; 3) Kemampuan menulis teks argumentasi siswa dalam aspek isi, sudah menguasai topik tulisan; adanya pengembangan pernyataan pendapat, menafsirkan bukti, menggambarkan simpulan berdasarkan asumsi dan alasan. Aspek kebahasaan yang meliputi struktur teks, kosakata dan mekanik, mayoritas siswa sudah menguasainya walaupun masih ada beberapa yang belum tepat. This study uses kuasieksperimen with design pretest-posttest control group design, aims to describe the profile of learning to write argumentation text learners in class X SMA Negeri 1 Karangnunggal; It is intended to know the using of ‘the six thinking hats method’ towards the ability based by using audio-visual media in writing argumentation text; describes the ability to write argumentation text that control class direct learning; determine differences in the ability to write argumentation text learners before and after the study conducted by the method of the six thinking hats method with audiovisual media. The sample of the research are 66 students of the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Karangnunggal. The instrument of the research is a test of the ability of writing argumentation text. The result of the research are; 1) the profile of learning of writing argumentation text of the students of SMAN Karangnunggal is classified into low; 2) the improvement of the students’ ability in writing argumentation text of experiment class is better than control class. The average of n-gain of experiment class is 0.66 while the average of n-gain of the control class is 0.49 and both of them are classified into medium category; 3) the students’ ability in writing argumentation text; in content aspect, understand the topic of the text; the improvement in expressing argumentation, interpreting of fact, describing conclusion bases on assumption and reason, have been increased. The majority of the students have mastered and understood the language aspect, such as, text organization, vocabulary and mechanic, although there are some un-appropriate usage in it.
