    Abstract

    Penelitian dengan judul “Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa Berbasis Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) dengan Metode Demonstrasi pada Materi Pemanasan Global” ini merupakan penelitian dengan metode Research and Development (R&D). Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen, guru Biologi dan siswa kelas VII G dan VII E. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 12 Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah angket respon siswa, penilaian dosen dan guru terhadap LKS Pemanasan Global serta lembar observasi. Respon siswa terhadap LKS hasil pengembangan termasuk dalam katagori sangat kuat yaitu 91,19 %. LKS Pemanasan Global yang telah dikembangkan telah sesuai dengan syarat didaktik, syarat konstruksi dan syarat teknis yaitu dengan skor persentase 91,43%. LKS Pemanasan Global telah sesuai dengan sintaks POE dengan skor persentase 100%. Selain itu kriteria efektivitas LKS dilihat dari aspek kinerja dan nilai LKS. Efektifitas tercapai apabila rata-rata nilai ≥ 75. Dari hasil uji statistika menggunakan uji U-Mann-Withney menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata nilai siswa dengan rata-rata yang dihipotesiskan. Selain itu, berdasarkan perhitungan dari aspek nilai kinerja dan nilai LKS adalah 93,43 dan 91,67. Dengan demikian LKS efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan POE.

    This study aimed to development of worksheet based Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) using demonstration method on Global Warming material. Participants in this study are lecturers, biology teacher and two class of seventh grade students in SMPN 12 Bandung. The method in this study is Research and Development. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire responses of students, lecturers and teachers assessment of worksheets Global Warming, observation and rubric assessment of worksheet. The results showed a student response in the category very strong with a percentage score of 91.19%, development of worksheet in this research accordance with the requirement of didactic, construction and technical with a percentage score of 91.43%. Worksheet accordance with syntax Predict-Observe-Explain in the category very strong, 100%. Additionally effectiveness criteria worksheet seen from the aspect of performance and worksheet value. Effectiveness is achieved when the average value of ≥ 75. From the test results using a statistical test of Mann-Whitney U-showed a significant difference between the average value of students with an average hypothesized. In addition, based on the calculation of the value aspects of the performance and value of LKS are 93.43 and 91.67. The indicates worksheet effective in develop Predict-Observe-Explain skill.
