Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan disposisi matematis siswa antara yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe The Power of Two dan tipe Jigsaw, ditinjau dari keseluruhan dan berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis siswa (atas, tengah, dan bawah). Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain the pretest-posttest two treatment design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Banjaran Tahun Pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Sampel yang digunakan adalah dua kelas dari sepuluh kelas yang ada. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes, skala disposisi matematis, dan lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t, uji t’, dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) tidak terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa antara yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TPOT, 2) tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa antara yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TPOT, baik ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan KAM, 3) terdapat perbedaan disposisi matematis siswa antara yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TPOT, ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan kelompok KAM atas dan tengah, 4) tidak terdapat perbedaan disposisi matematis siswa pada kelompok KAM bawah, antara yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TPOT. This research examines about the differences of improvement of students' mathematical understanding and disposition of the acquired type of cooperative learning model The Power of Two and Jigsaw, and based on the review of the students’ prior knowledge in mathematics (PKM) category (top, medium, and bottom). This was a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest design the two treatment design. Research populations are the students of eighth grade of SMPN 2 Range academic year 2014 / 2015. The samples are two classes of ten existing classes. The instruments which were used they’re a test instrument, and scale mathematical disposition. Data were analyzed by using t test, t’ test, and Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that: 1) there was no difference in achievement between students 'mathematical understanding ability that instruction with jigsaw model and type TPOT, 2) there was no difference improvement of students' mathematical understanding between the instruction with jigsaw model and type TPOT , viewed as a whole and PKM, 3) There are differences between the students' mathematical disposition with jigsaw model and type TPOT, viewed as a whole and the top and middle PKM group, 4) there was no difference in the group of student mathematical disposition under PKM , between the instruction with jigsaw model and type TPOT.
