Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya instrumen asesmen perilaku adaptif bagi inidividu dengan intellectual disability (ID) yang dapat diakses oleh guru atau tenaga pendidik di Indonesia. Instrumen asesmen ini penting untuk mengetahui hambatan perkembangan perilaku adaptif setiap individu dengan ID sebagai salah satu pertimbangan dalam menyusun program pembelajaran. Pengembangan instrumen asesmen perilaku adaptif perlu mempertimbangkan beberapa hal, diantaranya konteks budaya dan usia. Dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada usia perkembangan remaja (usia 12-21 tahun) dengan konteks budaya terutama pada aspek sosialisasi di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen perilaku adaptif bagi remaja dengan ID. Pendekatan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan dua tahapan penelitian. Tahapan penelitian dilakukan secara hirarki, dalam artian tahapan dalam penelitian akan mempengaruhi tahap penelitian selanjutnya dalam rangka mencapai tujuan utama penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan instrumen asesmen perilaku adaptif yang dilakukan fungsional bagi remaja dengan ID dilihat dari tiga aspek yaitu nilai praktis, kebermanfaatan, dan konten isi dari instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan. Instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan cukup mudah dipelajari dan diterapkan guru, memberikan kemudahan bagi guru untuk menyusun program dalam rangka intervensi, hasil asesmen mampu menampilkan profil perilaku adaptif secara keseluruhan setiap anak, serta konten isi yang disusun sudah sesuai dengan sosial budaya yang ada di masyarakat Yogyakarta. This research is based on the lack of adaptive behavior assessment instrument for individuals with intellectual disability (ID) that can be accessed by teachers or educators in Indonesia. Assessment instrument is important to know the resistance development of adaptive behavior of each individual with ID as one of the considerations in developing learning programs. The development of adaptive behavior assessment instruments need to consider some factors, including cultural context and age. This study limits to the age of adolescents development (aged 12-21 years) with the cultural context especially social culture in Yogyakarta. This research aims at developing adaptive behavior assessment instrument for individuals with ID in adolescence. The research uses a qualitative research approach done in two stages. The stages of the research are completed in hierarchically stages which mean that in this research, the first stage will affect the next stage in order to achieve the main objectives of the research. The results showed that the development of adaptive behavior assessment instruments conducted, functionally for individuals with ID adolescence seen from three aspects: the practical value, the usefulness, and the content of assessment instruments developed. Assessment instrument developed are quite easy to be learned and applied by the teachers, making it easy for teachers to set up programs in the framework of the intervention, The results of the assessment were able to show an overall adaptive behavior profile of each child, as well the content has already compiled in accordance with the existing social culture in the people of Yogyakarta.
