Abstract

Penelitian berjudul “Perkembangan Pedagogical Content Knowledge Mahasiswa Calon Guru Biologi Peserta Program Pengalaman Lapangan” dilakukan di SMP Negeri 12 Bandung yang dilakukan kepada tiga orang calon guru biologi (mahasiswa peserta Program Pengalaman Lapangan). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat dan pola perkembangan PCK calon guru biologi yang diukur dengan instrumen CoRe sebagai instrumen untuk menentukan strategi perkembangan PCK calon guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran, kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan jalan coding dan scoring pada instrumen CoRe untuk analisis kuantitatif, sedangkan untuk analisis kualitatif data dikumpulkan melalui hasil observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 2 orang mahasiswa berada pada tingkat Maturing PCK atau level 3, sedangkan 1 orang mahasiswa berada pada tingkat Growing PCK atau level 2. Pola perkembangan PCK yang ditunjukkan oleh ketiga orang mahasiswa calon guru adalah 2 orang mahasiswa menunjukkan pola perkembangan cenderung naik, sedangkan 1 orang mahasiswa menunjukkan pola perkembangan fluktuatif. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan PCK terdiri dari faktor eksternal, yaitu pola bimbingan, kegiatan lesson study, dan intensitas bimbingan, serta faktor internal, yaitu efek psikologi yang terjalin antara guru dan siswa, motivasi dari diri sendiri untuk memperluas wawasan ilmu pengetahuan, kemampuan komunikasi, dan pengalaman mengajar. Kendala yang ditemukan dalam proses perkembangan PCK adalah: 1) rendahnya tingkat percaya diri dalam kegiatan lesson study; 2) tidak dapat memanfaatkan waktu bimbingan yang tersedia; 3) keterbatasan referensi penunjang, kesempatan, finansial, dan kemampuan fisik; dan 4) keterbatasan dalam berbahasa sehingga mengalami hambatan dalam berkomunikasi. The “Pedagogical Content Knowledge Development of Participants field experience program of prospective Biology Teachers” study entitled was conducted in SMP Negeri 12 Bandung, committed to the three prospective biology teachers (students participating in Field Experience Program). The purpose of this research was to analyze the level and pattern of biology prospective teachers’ PCK development as measured by the CoRe instrument as an instrument for determining strategy PCK development of prospective teachers. This study used a mixed methods, quantitative and qualitative research. Data collected by the coding and scoring the CoRe instruments deployed for quantitative analysis, whereas for data qualitative analysis collected through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that two students are at Maturing PCK condition or level 3, while one student is at Growing PCK condition or level 2. PCK development pattern shown by the three subjects are two students showed patterns of development tends to rise, while one student showed fluctuating pattern of development. Factors that influence the development of PCK is composed of external factors, that are the pattern of guidance, lesson study activities, and intensity guidance, and internal factors, that are the psychological effect that exists between teachers and students, the motivation of self to expand the horizons of knowledge, communication skills, and teaching experiences. Problems were found in the PCK development process were 1) low level of confidence in the lesson study activities; 2) can not take advantage of the available guidance time; 3) limitations of the supporting reference, opportunity, financial, and physical abilities; and 4) limitations in speaking so have problems in communicating.
