Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan memaparkan tindak tutur yang terdapat dalam film “Entre Les Murs (The Class)” karya Laurent Cantet dan film “Monsieur Lazhar” karya Philippe Falardeau. Untuk mengetahui dan memahami makna yang terkandung dari setiap tindak tutur yang dianalisis baik yang tersirat maupun yang tersurat serta mengetahui jenis pertuturan apa saja yang terdapat di dalamnya, peneliti memakai analisis tindak tutur berdasarkan teori dari Searle. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang berarti bahwa peneliti akan secara langsung meneliti data berupa dialog dalam film “Entre Les Murs (The Class)” dan film “Monsieur Lazhar” dengan cara mengamati dan memahami objek penelitian tersebut. Hasil penelitian berbentuk data-data deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh adegan cerita film “Entre Les Murs (The Class)” dan film “Monsieur Lazhar” dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah adegan atau dialog yang dimainkan oleh tokoh utama dan beberapa tokoh pendukung dalam film tersebut. Dari semua dialog tokoh utama pada masing-masing film ini yang peneliti analisis terdapat tiga jenis tindak tutur yaitu tindak tutur lokusi, ilokusi dan perlokusi. Dari semua tuturan yang dianalisis, penggunaan tindak tutur ilokusi lebih mendominasi dibandingkan dua tindak tutur lainnya sehingga membutuhkan pemahaman yang mendalam untuk memahami makna yang dimaksud dari penutur terlebih jika tindak tutur ilokusi tersebut diungkapkan dengan tuturan tidak langsung. Ketiga tindak tutur tersebut umumnya diungkapkan dengan memakai fungsi pertuturan menyatakan. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan mahasiswa dapat menambah wawasan mengenai teori-teori pragmatik, khusunya teori tindak tutur. The purpose of this research was describing and explaining the theory of speech acts in the "Entre Les Murs (The Class)" by Laurent Cantet and "Monsieur Lazhar" by Philippe Falardeau. To know and understand the meaning contained from each analyzed speech acts, either express or implied, and to know what types of substitutions there in, I used a speech act analysis based on the theory of Searle. The method I’ve used in this research was descriptive qualitative which means researchers will directly examine the data in the form of dialogue in "Entre Les Murs (The Class)" and "Monsieur Lazhar" by observing and understanding the research object. The results are in the form of descriptive data. The population in this research is the whole scene of "Entre Les Murs (The Class)" and "Monsieur Lazhar" and the sample of this research was a scene or dialogue that was played by the main character and some of the supporting characters in the movies. Of all the main character’s dialogue, I found that there are three types of speech acts which are locutions speech acts, illocution and perlocution. From all the utterances that was analyzed, the use of illocutionary speech act was more dominant than the other two speech acts so it requires some deep understanding to grasp the real message of the actors, especially when illocutionary speech act expressed by indirect speech. All three speech acts are generally expressed by using the function of substitutions stated. With this research, I hope students are expected to have more knowledge about the theories of pragmatics, especially the theory of speech act
