Abstract
A condition that Junior high school students have low mathematics representative ability in solving mathematics problem is a background of this research. One of effort to improve mathematics representative ability is by having learning which using Problem Based Learning (PBL) as model. Population in this research is all students grade VIII in one of Junior High School in Bandung, while chose sample is two classes of population. Model that will be used in experiment class is Problem Based Learning (PBL), while control class will use convensional learning. Instrument in this research is test like problems of mathematics representative test and non-tes instrument like questionarre and observation sheet. The result of this research shows that students who get Problem Based Learning (PBL) have improvement of mathematics representative abilty significantly and higher than students who use convensional model. The quality of improvement mathematics representative ability of students that get class with Problem Based Learning (PBL) belonging to high category. While, the result of questionairre processing shows that positive attitude of students towards learning using Problem Based Learning (PBL).
