Abstract

Proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani tidak dapat hanya berorientasi pada jasmani saja, tetapi harus adanya perubahan tingkah laku menurut Pangrazi dan Dauer (1992). Hasil study lapangan di SMA Santa Maria 2 Kota Bandung masih ditemukan kasus-kasus pelanggaran tata tertib. Menurut Fitts (1971), konsep diri seseorang dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu, pengalaman, kompetensi, dan aktualisasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pengaruh penerapan model TPSR dan model direct instruction terhadap pengembangan konsep diri siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas X. Sampel yang diteliti adalah 30 siswa kelas X IPS 2 (eksperimen) dan 30 siswa kelas X IPA 1 (kontrol). Pengambilan sampel dengan cara cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain yaitu randomly pretest-posttest control group design dari Fraenkel (2006, hal. 277). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest-posttest menggunakan instrument tennessee self concept scale (TSCS) dari Fitts (1971). Untuk melihat pengembangan konsep diri siswa pengolahan data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Selanjutnya, untuk melihat perbedaan dampak dari perlakuan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan nilai antara model TPSR dan model direct instruction terhadap pengembangan konsep diri siswa. Untuk model TPSR peningkatan nilai sebesar 14,54% dan model direct instruction sebesar 4,52%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa, model TPSR dapat mengembangkan konsep diri siswa sedangkan model direct instruction dapat mengembangkan konsep diri siswa namun tidak terlalu besar peningkatan nilainya. The physical education learning could not only be oriented in the physical, but there must a change of behavior according to Pangrazi and Dauer (1992). The results of a study at Bandung Santa Maria 2 High School still found two cases of violation of order. According to Fitts (1971), someone’s self-concept can be influenced by several factors that is, experience, competence, and self-actualization. This study aims to find out the influence of the application of TPSR model and direct instruction model on the development of students’ self-concept. The population of this research is a high school student in the X class. The samples are 30 of the students on the X IPS 2 class (experiment) and 30 of the students on the X IPA 1 class (control). The sample collection uses a clusters random sampling. This research uses experimental method with the randomly pretest-posttest control group design of Fraenkel (2006:277). The collection is done through pretest-posttest uses tennessee self concept scale (TSCS) instrument of Fitts (1971). To see the development of the students’ self-concept, data processing uses paired sample t-test. Furthermore, to perceive the difference of impact in treatment uses the independent sample t-test. The result of the research shows that there were differences in the enhancement of score between TPSR model and direct instruction model on the development of students’ self-concept. In TPSR model the increase of score is 14,54 % and in direct instruction model is 4,52 % . So it could be inferred that, TPSR model could develop the students’ self-concept whereas the direct instruction model could develop students’ self-concept as well but there is no significant increase of score in it.
