Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Introduction (PBI) tipe Diskusi dan metode Guided Discovery terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X Jurusan Akuntansi di SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan bentuk Nonequivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. Teknik Analisis data dengan statistik parametrik yang meliputi uji beda rata-rata (paired sampels t-test dan independent samples t-test), gain score dan perhitungan effect size dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Introduction (PBI) tipe Diskusi dan metode Guided Discovery pada kelas eksperimen. Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Problem Based Introduction (PBI) tipe Diskusi dan metode Guided Discovery lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode Konvensional (ceramah). Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan model Problem Based Introduction (PBI) tipe Diskusi dan metode Guided Discovery sebagai metode pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. The study was conducted to determine the effect of the methods Problem Based Introduction (PBI) and Discovery method to the critical thinking skills of students of class X Accounting Department at SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. The method used is a quasi experiment with form Nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) Control Group Design. Data analysis techniques with statistical parametric covering different test average (paired t-test the samples and independent samples t-test), the gain scores and effect size calculation using SPSS version 21.0 The results showed that the use of methods Problem Based Introduction (PBI) and Discovery more effectively can improve critical thinking skills instead of the Conventional methods (lectures)
