Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan suatu penelitian desain (design research) tentang pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP pada materi persamaan linear satu variabel. Salah satu masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa berkaitan dengan rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP. Oleh karena itu, solusi untuk meminimalisir kesulitan belajar siswa sehingga mempermudah siswa untuk memahami materi dan memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yaitu guru perlu mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk tugas - tugas pada bahan ajar materi persamaan linear satu variabel yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian desain terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu preliminary first design, experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Adapun yang menjadi subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Cisarua. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk tugas – tugas yang disajikan dalam bahan ajar melalui pemecahan masalah untuk memfasilitasi siswa dalam materi persamaan linear satu variabel adalah tugas - tugas yang dimulai dengan soal cerita berupa masalah sehari – hari kemudian siswa diinstruksikan untuk mengubah masalah tersebut menjadi model matematika dalam bentuk persamaan sebagai strategi penyelesaiannya. This research was design research about the development of subject matter based on Junior High School student’s mathematical problem solving in topic one variable linear equation . The learning obstacle of student in mathematical problem solving ability for junior high school at the critical level is the one of the reasons for did the research. Threfore, the solution to minimize student’s learning difficulties and making it easier for students to understanding the topic and facilitate student’s mathematical problem solving ability, that is teacher needs to develop a subject matter based from problem solving. This research aim to determine the form of tasks in subject matter of one variable linear equation than can be facilitate student’s mathematical problem solving ability. This design research has a three phases, there are preliminary first design, experiment, and retrospective analysis. The research’s subject is the seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 Cisarua. Based on the results of the research and discussion of study, it can be concluded that the form of tasks that presented in the subject matter through problem solving to facilitate students in topic one variable linear equation is the tasks starting with the daily life story problems then students are instructed to transforming the problems mathematics models on equation as problem solving strategies.
