Abstract

Seorang pahlawan berani berkorban demi apa yang dia yakini, seperti seorang ibu yang berani berkorban apa saja untuk kesejahteraan anak-anaknya, begitu pula seorang pahlawan revolusi suatu negara berani berkorban apa saja untuk kesejahteraan rakyatnya. Bukan hanya sebagai poros perubahan, seorang pahlawan merupakan icon pengobar semangat orang-orang yang berjuang bersamanya. kesejahteraan, sikap dermawan, perjuangan melawan penggolongan ras merupakan segelintir masalah yang diperjuangkan oleh seorang tokoh yang tidak jarang membuat tokoh tersebut terbujur kaku di liang lahat. Fokus pembahasan karya, yaitu mengembangkan gagasan dan visualisasi dari 5 tokoh pahlawan dunia ke dalam bentuk karya seni fauvisme. Format karya ini berukuran 120cm X 140cm sebanyak 5 karya dengan dua format, yaitu format vertical (portrait) dan format horizontal (landscape). Metode penciptaan karya lukis ini berawal dari ide berkarya, kemudian melakukan stimulasi, kontemplasi, berkarya. Pada proses eksplorasi visual (sketsa) sebagai awal dari visualisasi proses Berkarya yang meliputi persiapan alat dan bahan, tahap pembuatan karya (melukis). Setiap visualisasi karya baik itu pemilihan penampilan tokoh, warna dan latar belakang gambar disesuaikan dengan kehidupan, karakter setiap tokohnya. Hasil karya penciptaan ini diharapkan selanjutnya dapat dijadikan semangat setiap orang yang melihat dan membaca biografi setiap tokohnya yang sarat makna dan dapat dijadikan teladan.
